WiMax is better?

Generally speaking, wireless Internet tends to be outperformed by wired variety... That's all I can say!

Don't get your hopes up too high. With wireless connectivity, there's always a coverage problem.
I did read in the APC Magazine online that even in Australia they're having problems implementing WiMax and a few of their companies planning to offer it had to scrap it for the time being.

Does this mean for the freedom from being tied to a fixed phone line (streamyx), the best option is still HSPDA? - since cell-phone network coverage is almost blanketing the whole peninsular. I have had the chance to try Celcom's broadband on HSPDA and for one download, I saw the download speeds as slow as dialup rates to speeds far exceeding Streamyx - fluctuations probably due to congestion of the bandwidth. Sorry, I couldn't remember the speeds but I remember being impressed.
