Nothing beats:-

2. your windows can put a "mosquito net(insect screen)"
3. you could sleep with a mosquito net (with air-con)
4. get a badminton mosquito killer

I remember visiting a family in Mt Kiara.
I didn't realised that immediately looking out of the 12th floor apartment, at the same level, is the Pencala highway!

To reduce bites do not sleep near smelly sock or shoes or any clothing that has smelly sweaty odor.

The mosquitoes can be carried by an updraft as wind hits the sides of the apartment. Doesn't even need a particularly strong wind.

I have come across a study on mosquitoes behaviour done by some researchers. They put in a room 6 highly qualified persons with 6 prison inmates whose education level is very low and the following day, all the learned people suffered from mosquitoes bites while the prisoners were spared. They repeated the controled experiment many times but with different groups of people and their consistencies is that there is always a batch of well educated and another batch of people with basic or no education and the results are always the same. So they concluded that mosquitoes prefer the blood from well educated people. Now this doesn't mean that you can start telling your wife on this findings just revealed to you for however smart you are, you will never win an argument a woman

Better put netting at the window, this really help.
You can purchase the cheap one from shops and install them yourself.

I have spray, body mossie repellent, nosquito - the machine with UV to catch mosquito, citric plant from Sungai Buloh and netting DIY from shops.

I think its got to do with blood type. Certain blood type attracts mosquito than the other. :D my daughter attracts mosquito more than my son...

My departed grandfather got a special blood type.... "D" ... when mosquito bites him... it dont go anywhere further.... maybe stay on the wall or nearby... when when I was a kid... like to squeeze it.... :D .... Anyway... D for Drunk. :D hehehe

I use this gadget that when plugged in emits a high frequency sound that keeps the mosquitoes away. Safe for pets and humans.

I find it more effective among other methods. I also have the netting screen on windows but sometimes we still find mosquitoes inside the house.

O, yes - Welcome back, pcyeoh :D

I may need one of this gadget. Where can you get it and what does it look like? I saw many diff types but don't know which is better???...I had insect screen but the mozzies seemed to be highly educated nowadays...Mostly been to Mossy Universities...they wait at the main door, kitchen door, any doors and when u come in, they fly in asap when the door is opened!!! I even find they are capable of crawling in thru the 1/2 inch gap between the door and the floor...so have to also seal the gap with these plastic strip u can get from Hypermarts!  COMMANDO TRAINED OR WHAT??!!
