Need some recomendations for an outlet with good Spa facilities and value for money. Anywhere in the Klang Valley. Need to know this as a friend from overseas wants to spend a day at the Spa to unwind and to get refreshed.
Thanks

i used to goto the spa opposite Sunway Pyramid, i paid 800+ for a package for 6 times of spa, i used only 1 time, guess what, it bankrupt and closed shop!
Having said that, that spa service (massage and jacuzzi) quite good indeed. Too sad that it closes shop for no apparent reason.

I don't want to be accused of advertising, promoting and 'selling' anything on this forum, so I will only reply for such matters via PM. :)
Plus, i only recommend places i am sure about. There are many places to recommend but it all depends on whether it suits the individual.

-just be careful with the spas... some of them are fronts for brothels and vice dens as well... your friend from overseas might just get blown away with some of the spas here... can backfire [impression] on you too.... :(
-stay away from "business" hotel spas...

USJ27 is right... lots of places like that in this country. If u want.. i hv connections also. hahaha.. :P
Most spas at hotels cost more than necessary. Some are good, some are mediocre. The ambiance may be great at some places, but services not too good. So for value for your ringgit, the ones i stick with are still the best. Great decor, relaxing atmosphere, very clean, excellent service, and great treatment packages at surprisingly affordable prices.
For a good 'unknotting' Thai massage which is totally decent, the 'one in SS17' is really good. Very peaceful setting, wonderful service, very clean, and just in your friendly neighborhood. No need to drive far. Prices of course, can't be compared to Thailand but these girls are all authentic Thai.
If anyone has tried Veqish Spa in Taipan, pls don't hesitate to give your opinion of their services. I'm wondering about that spa. Supposedly it has high ratings.
If anyone wants a good manicurist/pedicurist.. can ask me too.
Hotels info also can be provided.
:)
P/S: I do NOT collect commission for any of my recommendations!

well the friend might get 'blown' away alright. Nowadays there's lots of gray area. If they offer some form of 'package' you can reject, all about the person's will and determination. My guess is everywhere also the same, it's the request.

I hear the one in CyberLodge is pretty decent... but haven't been there personally.
You'd be suprised that the one in a shopping mall in USJ (right smack in our neighborhood) has a reputation that preceeds itself...
I've also learnt my lesson from posting "allegations" in public... pm me if you want info on which hotels/where/places to avoid...
