I have both Streamyx and iZZi and both are good. With the current offer by iZZi it makes it irresistable. So far it is very stable. I use it both in Setapak area and also in Subang Jaya. The coverage is currently almost throughout the Klang Valley and the are still expanding.

Maxis wireless broadband

maxis was good when i initially started using it. it is horrible now. i suppose the subscription has increased and there is so much traffic. i kept getting kicked off the high-speed connection and bumped down to edge connection. there are even times when i can't connect at all!

i'm now looking into izzi. i just found out that izzi was having a road show and went to carrefour yesterday to find out more, but couldn't find their roadshow booth :(

You must set the configuration to Only WCDMA instead of WCDMA preferred.

It was horrible for the few week past, but after the upgrading, no issue so far

Yes... did all the configuration and reconfiguration...

i CANNOT get the higher speed wcdma at high traffic times. why else would i want to use the much slower edge otherwise? probably my area is at the edge of their coverage or something like that. all that upgrading does jack for my connection

it's also no point calling them. they'll direct me to the 192.168..... site (which i'm already a pro at after all those reconfiguration i have to constantly do :( ). and when i tell them i've already done that, they tell me to switch off the modem and pull out the plug and wait five minutes and then reconnect again. (which doesn't work for me btw). what's with these sister companies..astro and maxis..that they think this unplugging and wait 5 mins and reconnecting again

anyways... i'm just waiting for my contract with them to end and i'm definitely switching to another provider.

in a nutshell..maxis did not work well in my part of usj4

I've been using Jaring's Flite for quite a while and have found it pretty reliable. During bad weather, the connection may drop at times but usually a resetting of my IP fixes it.
