Hi, good day! Anybody "fans" of organic veggies? Here there is supply directly from Vision Eco Farm. Per box of about 3.3kg containing 7-9 types of different kinds of veggies/beans/melons @ RM28 per box. Sufficient for 1 week's consumption by a family of 3-4 person.

If interested, kindly call 017-8790025 (Ms Chan).

I shall leave it here because it is food-related
If they are really organic and pesticide-free, then let the users verify the truth

However, please take any recommendation with a pinch of salt - do not take everything as fact ... especially if someone sounds like advertising for commercial gains. That is the way we should think when reading from the internet.

You obviously did not understand my statement. What I was actually refering to is the fact that we remove advertisements.

why the sudden outburst ???

"treat us all not idiots?" Now that got me confused???

Look... sometimes when people forget courtesy, manners, politeness - the best way most of us here would like the culprit to "hang" out to dry for a while... and by way of the moderators...

I think "moderators" are not like censorship boards but simply as moderators - to ensure a clean and friendly atmosphere in the forum WITHOUT having idiots hurling accusations and starting arguments and yet other idiots spamming us with commercials and business whatnots... ;) ok?

Of course it is !! Did you not read what i said?

Plus the fact that someone may actually want to find an alternative source of organic vegetables. The reason I also added a warning is to remind people to tread carefully and not jump at the offer .. this is sort of a disclaimer just in case people think we are endorsing the seller.

is there any 3rd party association in malaysia where it endorses these organic farms are truly organic? the organic seller here care to elaborate?

i see many organic vegetables, just being labelled as organic. anyone can easily print such labels and paste on their own vege. how do we know that it's truly organic, plus paying such a premium for it?

eg, for supplements, i know i'm getting good supplements, knowing it's free from chemical and pesticides and hormones, when it's stated iGMP(international good manufacting practice). so there's 3rd party endorsement here.

If you put any ads here, the admin will remove it. It is the policy of this site. How come i know ? Because I've put ads in the past and it got removed within 24 hours and I've even been to the Plantation. Luckily i'm now out of the plantation after good behavior :)

First of all, i wish to apologise if my earlier statement has created unneccessary misunderstanding to everybody. When i have a second read, i realise it's true it does appear to be like an advertisement. Here, i just wanted to make clear that:-

1. I am not the seller of the veggies nor the owner/member of the farm. I am just a consumer, thinking to share this info and at the same time if i came across more than 7 people who also interested, then the farm owner will send the veggies directly to my place with no transport charges. Currently i have to go to their pick up point.

2. Previously i bought organic veggies from hypermarket. I know this farm from a magazine, then called to ask whether they do supply directly to consumer, thinking that this will be more cheaper than i buy from the hypermarket/organic shop. And to my surprise, they do supply directly. I have shared this info with some of my friends, and they are happy to know this.

3. Of course if you asked me how i verify these veggies being purely organic, i admit i even never been to visit their farm. I only seen their farm photos from the magazine, and have few contacts with them thru phone conversation, but i never doubt. I trust them.

4. I have been looking around for good and cheap sources of organic veggies for quite some time after i have my kids. Thus, thinking to spread this info as it benefits me. Of course if anybody has a better source, pls share with me.

Feel a bit sad after i read the above replies. Guys, pls dun argue just because of my earlier statement. I apologise for that. And those not interested, just ignore it. Please.

Cheers!

Hi Cbl, i know how you feel! When you want to share your info with our forumers, thinking might help them too, but being accuse by someone you are trying to make ads...i know that feeling, trying to help but being accused, like give people "good heart" they treat like "dog's lung" :)

This happens to me too in another thread abt the latex mattress I started, when i was too eager to share all the info i collected thinking it might help others who are interested too, someone ("Orchi") accused me of actually a salesman in disguise! How hurt am I! still heart right now, Orchi never appologize to me...hiya, now, nobody trust anyone anymore... sigh...

the only organic vege will be those planted by yrslef in your postage stamp garden.

Many are not as organic as they claimed to be...even the SIME organic vege is not organic per se...I know more than u do...and dont ask me to explain..cos if i did, then i have to kill ya! and that will make a mockery of eating organic vege to live longer wouldn't it :p

It is also ridiculous to pay rm28 for 3.3kg of vege when choy sum is only rm0.50sen per kilo as pasar malam! Just soak the damn bayam in water for 1hr, wash and rewash, stir fry with belacan, makan and the tell me if u can live 20 years longer of shorter!

Pretty soon I got vege for sale...cos my lady's finger are blooming but the damn tupai/squirells/shrews are chewing the young shoots faster than i can pluck them!

Anyone know how to totally eliminate these thieves??

as to whether ppl assume it's an ad or not, i guess it's the way you word your message. you yourself admitted that, when you re-read your posting, it did sound like an ad, but that wasnt your intention.

perhaps you didnt know that ads are not allowed here? perhaps if you hadnt known, you would have added a line, disclaiming that you are not advertising, but merely sharing?

but it's good that this thread is still around. and i'm also confused. if it's truly an ad, why not ban mr. moderator? cos it's food related?

coming back to organic vegetables, tupai, i dont support the organic industry in malaysia. if i'm in spore or australia, perhaps it's a different story.

Next we will hear of organic beef, chicken, mutton, and fish..we now even have organic and cholesterol free eggs..can you believe this?
This whole organic thing is a real rip off, as long as there are these health conscious pll there will be products of this nature to hood wink them of their money.

Other than non-enforcement of regulation which I foresee, what else?
What has S'pore or Australia got?
I have met a family, due to cancer affect one of its member has turn to organics products.
Sorry forget to add 'no meat' also.
It is VERY expensive to go organics!
Good thing was the family was super rich!
The guy import the organics veg personally from Aussie Land!
So what has those place's organics that you mention got?

Yang Ada Banyak sayor ditaman latotupai - I too have tupai eating my rambutans!
I put mouse trap but it is not working.
I put netting they somehow chew their way thru!
Banyak problem those tupai! :D
BTW what other veg do you plant?
My spring onions keeps on dying

enforcement ensures most things are supposed to be where there are supposed to be.

i also dont believe in buying organic imports from australia or any other countries. by the time, it's air flown in, no wonder super $$$ and most nutrients gone.

when i mentioned australia, i meant if i'm staying in australia or singapore, not when i'm staying in msia and import from those countries. the fruits here are super waxed. in those countries, i would presume there is little wax, so it's still safe to eat fruits with the skin on.

so, now i eat vege bought from pasar pagi, not hypermarket (ensure vege has holes), and take food supplements, to ensure my daily nutrition requirement is met.

am making a point to eat more at home, rather than eating out. not only $$$ to eat out, but food is oily, salty, overcooked and lots of msg.
