Err buddies...in the past few days...things are not looking up in the sky...many folks especially kids are getting sick...due to the dreadful re-occurrence of haze...again.

Please get the kids to stay indoor as much as possible...n do drink lots of liquid...

Should symptoms of coughs n flu persist...get medical attention asap...

n do pray for a longer spell of heavy rain...

it is due to open burning somewhere at putrajaya, denkil, and johan setia.

Local burning on the way to Banting area, not Indonesia.
Have to call MP of Sijangkang, Fata Iskander.

En Fata Iskandar (never knew this one existed, until today) may not be available. Busy getting buntings up for the GE. Then again, the open burning does not affect En Fata Iskandar, why should he be doing anything?

This morning I could look at the Sun comfortably without using any solar filters - imagine the amount of smoke particles in the air! Time to make use of those N95 masks again......

It is worse in Sg Buloh yesterday, I saw 6 prisoners with breathing difficulty and red eyes in hospital. None admitted, even asthamic with conjunctivitis. All treated but prison police do not allowed them to wear face mask. When I left hospital in the evening, I can actually taste the haze in the air.

Latest update: USJ taipan is raining now! Hoorayy!

Took a walk to Taipan just now, a little windy, still lots of people going about.. life quite as usual. I reckon people are generally not exactly worried. Don't seem to spot any.

The Department Of Environment has confirmed the haze problem. The source is Indonesia.

Do we need the DOE to confirm the blardy haze…??

Just like when your house is on fire, do you need the fire department to confirm there is a fire !!

Even my dog could feel the blardy haze …

"Smoke is blowing from forest fires in Sumatra, as shown in this image [link below] taken by NASA's Terra satellite on June 14, 2012 at 03:45 UTC (June 13, 2012, 11:45pm ETC, U.S.).......Rokan Hilir has the most "hotspots" (fires) in Riau. The fires are burning peat and forestland and have created smoke and haze....33 fires are burning in ten 10 districts in the regency."

We're really in troubled times! Haze wasn't some potentially and deadly health hazard that comes by in the 60's 70's 80's until the 90's when it becomes a very real problem!
Here we are all these decades trying best to reduce or minimize air pollution (vehicle smog, industrial smog, open burning, etc) in our own backyard and now we have a smog coming from next door thats overwhelming and we pray for rain! Terrible prospect and seems little is being effected other than some crisis management.

Local source of haze, too. Don't just blame Indonesia.

I reckon the worst of haze is over for now, and it RAINED quite a lot at noon yesterday. I think it'll rain again this late afternoon. Good!.. perhaps replendish problematic water supply.
Is the rainy period back? I hope so but not too much to cause floods instead.

It is always convenient to blame others.
