Did anyone can suggest where i can go for refilling my Lexmark cartridges.? last week I went to shop somewhere SS 15, but after used 2 pages A4 size photo printing, there are so many blank / white lines on color. There was no test print given & warranty as well from this shop. I hv ever did refilling by myself using a refill kit but turn up messy & leaking. I want to save from buying original cartridges.

I was told that the new printer with ink comes with 50% filled only. So do not equate the cost of a new cartridge with a new printer. You get more from a newly purchased cartridge.
BTW, certain models can be modified to have drums instead of cartridges. We used it in Thailand but I am unable to find someone to modify it here. With drums (about 5 inches high), the cost is incredibly low. Anyone know where we can get it done locally? PM me if it is too sensitive.

I think there are some computer shop at Subang Square also one newly specialized refill shop at carrefour in front of KFC, you may check over there.
I hv epson last year, using a continous system, think save more but at the end it spoiled the print head (accdg to epson center) and I threw it away.

What about toner for HP printer? Is it better to buy new ones or re-manufactured ones? The price difference seems a lot but does the quality and quantity justifyit?

See your luck.... if it is only recycled once or twice, its ok, else, the toner will leak on to the printer and will damage the printer. Our office use to use refilled until the cost of repairing is higher than the ori toner.
But.... we sold the empty cartridge.... :D

Unless you need a colour printer, and you need to see colour.... better buy a laser printer.... per page.. its a lot cheaper. One laser toner can last almost more than 4 reams of paper for personal use... or one year.

I hv been to this shop (as mentioned near KFC Carrefour) last sunday, they hv variety of product. Since my office also using recycled product, so tried to find this shop. Accdg to the guy there, they gave warranty from any leaking as well as the result, they changed all the parts inside, so no hassle or worry if only once or twice usage, becoz they always exchange with new cartridge. So it only take a minute for transaction, no need to wait like others. They also buy empty cartridge. I bought 1 black toner, so far these 2 days still ok and hopefully ok for the rest..

I bought a re-manufactured toner for RM140.00 for my HP printer. The previous one leaked. I weighed both the used one and the re-manufactured one and noted that the differential weight is only 75 gm. That means, the powder in the manufactured one is only 75 gm!! I remember that most powder toner comes in 100 gm pack at least. Looks like, it is not full.

For laser printers, the trend is toward compatibles, not remanufactured or recycled.
Compatible gives better results and less problems ( less than 1%) as well as much cheaper to use.
Compatibles means everything is new including the cartridge case.
Check out this site, they accept online orders.
