Err buddies...just received an unconfirmed report that Subang Parade seems to be experiencing an emergency evacuation of patrons n occupants...

While this information is yet to be verified...Orchi thought it would be wise to alert as many as possible...to stay away n avoid going to that area from now...

More feedbacks would be posted as soon as Orchi could authenticate this with SS17 Balai Polis...

Oh, goodness gracious. A good thing I changed my mind about going there. Had planned to visit SP but something came up, so postponed the trip. Just as well. :D

Thanks for the info, Orchi.

Err buddies...this is serious...Orchi just spoke to CI Tuan Sulaiman Baputty of SS17 Balai Polis that...Polis has received a report of a "Bomb Threat" phone call...at around 18:30 to 19:00pm late this afternoon...

Tuan Sulaiman is advising EVERYONE to stay away n avoid going to the Subang Parade from now...while emergency evacuation exercises had been ordered to disperse n evacuate ALL occupants n patrons in Subang Parade...since.

Emergency responses like Bomb Squad n Bomba have been dispatched there as well...

Please advise your neighbours...relatives n friends living in PH/USJ/Subang Jaya/Sunway communities...as NOT to head to Subang Parade at the moment.

This may not be related but just to highlight. Last week, my colleagues and I wanted to go to SP for lunch. However ALL the entrances to parking were closed. We went round SP twice just to double confirm. Ended up parking in Carre4. We had experienced this a couple of times.

Well, I was having dinner up north in Penang when I received a SMS from logicman about this incident. Everyone knows I don't simply forward any sms without verifying it with the sender. Logically, I called back that number and the person identified himself. He told me of his concern that people unknowingly going to Subang Parade would get stuck in the massive jam as the situation there was quite chaotic. The next question I asked was "Did you personally witness this?" When he said yes, I told him that I would follow up on this. I then forwarded his sms to our OrchiPD and followed up by calling him and asking him to post it on the forum and I guess I didn't have to tell our OrchiPD what to do next.

Now I shall tell you what happened at my dinner. My wife was not too pleased at all. I didn't realised that the waiter had brought my dinner. It was just left there on my table while I was busy on the phone. My wife was waiting for me to begin eating but I ended talking. The people at my neighbouring tables were looking at me thinking that I must be some kind of a high ranking police officer to be disturbed over an event happening some 380km away in Subang Jaya while I am up north having dinner with a lady. No wonder my wife was pissed off. She said, “You are not a CPO or even a ASP but a KPC.” I thought of answering that I was not even a KPC as the real KPC could be reading this forum back in Subang Jaya. But I didn't as you know how quiet it is in a Japanese restaurant and I was hoping that my neighbouring table people didn’t hear all this. Though there was no bomb found in Subang Parade, a small one just exploded in my face.

It was not as bad as what sms or info you guys received :D
I was there with my wife. Our story is more exciting than the bomb threat haha.
Well, the story goes like this. My wife realised she lost her purse yesterday evening and went searching back home, then the office then remembered, the night before we were at Pizza Hut SP.

SO we rushed there, the front road was cordoned off so we had to park at carrefour via the back lane.

From Carrefour we walked there and everyone was happily sitting and standing outside. Some patrons were still enjoying their meals and coffee at coffee bean and delifrance.

When we got there...we thought, well another wasted due to this crap prank call and probably had to report the missing purse tomorrow at the police station.
FOrtunately saw a few PH staffs and enquire whether they knw anything about missing purse in PH and they said yeah, they have seen it and gv it to the shift manager.
We were kind of relieved, and we sat there together with the rest who were waiting and chatting.

One funny story was...An elderly man ordered a pizza and had paid for it, and
the alert came to request all to leave the building, he refused and said he wants his pizza. Everybody panicked and rushed out except him and in the end they had to coax him to leave and promised he can get his pizza tomorrow.

It happened at around 1900hrs when everyone was enjoying their dinner.

At about 2130hrs, the police removed the strips of plastics and allowed ppl to go back in. It was a false alarm and the OIC was smiling in response to questions from the media. We were also KPC, and went there to listen for a moment. :D

Then we got in and a sigh of relieved...from my wife when the PH manager brought out her purse.
What a memorable night...cool drizzly night.
