Friends

As we come close to the end of 2007 and open a new chapter in 2008, we may have observed many things done and unaccomplished by MPSJ through the year.
Let's share our thoughts about what we want done for 2008 from the authorities.
It can be clearing a blocked drain, returning the Millennium Park into a real park, better facilities, services etc etc...

Share with us...

cheers

Yes pleeeese! Solve the traffic problems, not add to them. Do they ever ask the opinions of residents around the area they want to block ke, reroute ke??
Hiya! Sometimes ah, I see cut and paste jobs la. Anyone know what the master plan is for entering into and going out of Subang?

Sorry to be a wet blanket here! Would like to share a column that I read in yesterday's Sun about MPSJ's President being in No Mood to serve the people! Well, we can ask for what we want in 2008 and by year 2009, we can review what has been achieved. Let's call it our KPI for our council!

1) Shut down all mamak by 12 midnight, especially those facing housing areas.

2) Random raid on business setting up their tables and chairs on Parking Spaces even up to midnight. MPSJ, I heard raid end by 9.30.

3) No more noisy washing of their plates, cup and spoon/fork after 12 midnight.

4) Seal up more unhygiene Mamak restaurant.

they are more than all the pubs in term of numbers.

1) The No. 1 problem in USJ is definitely the TRAFFIC JAM. if MPSJ can solve that it will be a dream come thru. I think after the link to Kelana Jaya (after submit) is completed the traffic will ease a little. Hope so... :)

2) Pasar Malam in USJ. There's only 1 in SJ (Sunday & Tuesday). Perhaps, will be good if we can have 1 in USJ.

3) We are happy that USJ has got many schools. Childrens can get good education just a stone's throw away. It's so convenience that some of the school childrens can just walk to school. 2 thumbs up! However, we need to also enhance the security of SJ/USJ. We should have more police station in USJ/SJ. As the population in USJ grows, more police stations are needed to keep our place safe. More police to patrol the neighbourhood will also be a dream come thru.

Transit improvements:

> Frequent Minibus service in our communities, linking those areas to the main commercial centre

e.g. USJ3, 4, 5, 6 linked to Taipan and Summit
e.g. SS19, 17 linked to Subang Parade
e.g. USJ 21-25 like to Taipan 2

etc.

> a RapidKL bus link between Putra Heights and USJ8 bus hub.

> Bus lanes along Pers. Kewajipan to speed up bus travel, during peak hours especially

road improvements:

> build a bridge over the KESAS highway linking Sunway PJS9 and USJ1. Put a toll on it if you like...just build that link....

> road works around the Kewajipan/KESAS interchange, building u-turn ramps a la LDP in Puchong...

> no more right turns at the KESAS-Kewajipan interchange...to get on the highway turn left instead, and use the U-turn ramp...this will speed up the movement of traffic

> ramp from KESAS to USJ1 (and vice versa) located east of the new Casa Subang development or near the site of the new toll bridge...

> say NO to more flyovers, for heaven's sake...this is a suburban community with a traffic management problem...not Tokyo or Hong Kong where flyovers are a part of life...we have the space, we have to manage it properly

> re-time traffic lights to reduce waiting period to 1 minute

> reduce the number of phases in the traffic signals (4-phase signals are unnecessary) or go back to roundabouts, which dont waste so much fuel or time

> paint proper lane markings into the roundabouts, including the "cat eye" reflectors so people learn how to use the roundabout properly.....

I think that most of those items, taken together, would do a lot for reducing the jam in SJ and USJ...once that is solved...then we can look at mass transit like LRT...

Cheers, m

allurban, i like all of your ideas bcos some are what i have been preaching for so long too i.e.

> road works around the Kewajipan/KESAS interchange, building u-turn ramps a la LDP in Puchong...
> no more right turns at the KESAS-Kewajipan interchange...to get on the highway turn left instead, and use the U-turn ramp...this will speed up the movement of traffic

one thing i would like to add is, if LRT will enter usj1 in the foreseeable future please plan for a multi stories car park there as well when there r still land available .. looking at many shop offices, condominiums due to be completed in that area soon, the traffic flow and parking gonna be a challenge.

I think you may get your wish for this one...I saw the plan for Sunway South Quay ans their plans include building a link from South Quay diretly to Kesas with and interchange. But I am not sure if the interchange which falls in USJ 1 will have an access into USJ1. But at least PJS will have that link to Kesas which will be very close to the Kewajipan interchange.

SUnway is paying for this so funding shouldnt be a problem. That link will also go the opposite direction to connect directly to the NPE.

Then we pick up all the sound and transmit it to outer space..... wat a space pollution we will create ...hahaha :D

Well, my thoughts were to promote more unity and understanding among constituents.

m thought, that's one hell of a flyover...

a link is interesting but like I said, a connection between Sunway and USJ1 is a necessity.

Do you have any info about this project? Any links?

These religions dont need to remind when to pray and they do it quietly and privately without disturbing others.
