Anyone got kancil here? Need your opinion whether kancil is okay or bad...in terms of fuel consumption, maintenance/service/repair, durability....etc

I know one thing sure for kancil - excellent when try to find parking...

I drove kancil once and it is so light and easy to maneuver...I remember one time my friend sent me to airport using kancil... like it takes forever to reach the airport....I never use kancil before, thus if anyone got any experience in using kancil, please enlighten us...thanks...

Need your comments/feedbacks about kancil...

Not good if you need to travel far/ long distance. Small cc mah bro, what to do. The highest is only 850cc. No power steering I believe. Depends really on what you can afford and willing to spend.

I had a kancil before my current car. I had it for 6 years. Apart from it being small in size....I really loved everybit of the car. It was a fuel efficient, easy and cheap maintainance, compact for parking and fast for its size.

it also depends on your built..how tall and big you are. i'll probably have to remove the front seats and sit behind to drive!..but for short distance run a round car, i'll say it's ok..

Agree fully with irisbaggins. Drove one for 7 years myself.

And the Kancil doesn't need power steering, otherwise it'll most likely tip over at the first turning you make! :)

Agreed. Its full efficient, with the low power of course. But for town and short distance driving, its great. Not only parking in shopping centres, during traffic jams and those packed area, its very convenient as you can easily squeeze through the small space...

Only negative thing is, its really too small to fit many people or things; and you will feel like flying when you are driving fast on the highway when a big giant lorry pass by....

My first car is a kancil. It serve me faithfully for 5 years until I change to a bigger car when my dauhter is born.

Other than the light soft body that gets dented easily.... there is no problem.

I can get to JB in a kancil in 3 hours :D

Who says the car is slow, as i have driven one with twin turbos install
plus it is also an automatic and it goes much faster than a Vios.

I drive it on the tollway and get up to 150km/h very easy without any problems
at all whatsoever only that the steering was vibrating so much i thought it
was having an earthquake on the tollway....lol

The best is to get a diesel car as it will give you more kilometers
per tank compare to a petrol car.

online12793, your Kancil is equipped with F1 Ferrari 3000cc engine?... Haha... With the turbo, it can definitely go very fast since its so light. I even tried to push the whole car to side and it can move!...

Diesel could be a wise choice in the olden days when the price of diesel was very cheap.. Nowadays, the diesel is not as cheap, and be environmental friendly, diesel creates a lot of smoke and the engine noise is just too irritating...

The current model of the Volkswagen Diesel Golf Automatic goes very fast
and only drinks about 6.1 litre for every 100km so thats very fuel efficient.

Better off getting a 2nd hand kelisa.Much better and one of the best handling and power to weight ratio ever.If your budget allows, get a Viva or Myvi.

No point getting a 2nd hand kancil cause not really worth it.

One last thing, NEVER overtake a car, up hill. Kancil dont really have that pick up speed.

Also, with few adult passengers, dont try high speed over take. Heavy lar. Tak ada power lar.

I got a Kancil 660 cc for my son and everybody likes it. The only draw back is the air con which is not very strong. The older model has metal all round so it is rather hot. The air vent is quite far from the driver and passenger and I think the designer made a bad mistake there. Other than that, it is a very good car. And o! changing the clutch is very expensive as the mechanic has the lift up the bloody engine to reach it. After changing oil seals and other essential stuff, the bill came up to RM700!!
