Dear,
i'm going by tour group. is there any interesting place and what r the items that can purchase from there. Heard from my friends that the most of the items was very expensive... what your opinion.
You can buy scallops (dried) from there. Maybe at Hakodate which is cheaper than Sapporo. However check the prices here before going and look at the many grades. The other thing worth buying is handbags etc from Burberry. There is a special Blue label Burberry for Japan market only and much cheaper. Other than that, you must eat the hairy crab, king/queen crab etc as Hokkiado is famous for crabs during winter. If you follow tour, they will likely take you to all tourist-must-go place which is not a bad idea for first timers. Oh, do try their onsen (hot spring baths).
