Want to sell away some books for my housekeeping. They are mostly read only once or twice, all still in good condition... decided not to keep them anymore, willing to sell at half price.

Attached is my book list, please PM me if any of you are interested.

Yeah, big portion of them are self-improvement books. I used to attend those motivational functions and subscribed to their "book of the month".

Did thought of keeping them... since they are good book and won't really be outdated (I still see them in bookshops selling year after year). However I have not pick them up to read anymore.

Now I have move on to the "mommy books" and children books :p

Wow, that's a lot of self help and motivational books.

Keep a few of them tho, good for future referencing.

But try this particualr uncle at Amcorp Mall's flea market on weekends. He buys and sells second hand books there. Not sure if he's still there tho, the last time I was there he's on the 2nd floor, near some accessory retail shop.

Possible for you to provide a contact no. for me to call before I go since you say you are there MOST Sundays? Or meet you in USJ or SJ to do a trade - both books and VCDs.

Ok, thanks. But will see you probably 9/9 as not free tomorrow or the next weekend. Do you have any set limit on no. of books or vcds you will purchase at 1 go?

Ok 9/9 is fine. I will note you down as a seller fo that day. Quantity: lets say 200 vcds (provided they are packed in computer pockets) and 1 big bag of books. Main criteria is actually that I will be able to carry all back. We always bring a really huge load to the market (for 2 tables) in a luxury car so space is limited. Have a nice weekend!

Hi Mary,
u mean u pay by per-bag or per-box of books? how much $ would that be?
do u want books not only motivational, how about comics, christian books?
do u want vcd even without license stickers? how about cd (songs)?

Hi! No I don't pay per-bag or per-box.It is merely an indication of the quantity coz as I said it needs to fit in the car when we go home from Amcorp Mall. I pay for each book individually. The price depends very much on the title and condition. I am mainly interested in: motivational, self-help, religious (eg christian), health, childrens' books, handicraft, cookery, art, film, music, the better novels (eg classics, modern lit, very popular ones) poetry, travel, history etc And yes comics is fine too, but not magazines, detectives (only Agatha Christie) and thrillers. I take all VCDs with or without license, at the same price. Surprisingly customers are not willing to pay more for an original! I also take CDs. There is a small demand for original ones.

Mary, What other items are you dealing with?

mary_wong

Hi there! I deal really in everything to be honest which fits in a car :) This excludes furniture, big electrical items, huge toys etc. Every Sunday I bring a mix of books, toys, make-up and toiletries (some new, some partially used), office stuff (pens, pencils etc), accessories (purses, belts, bags, costume jewelery etc), old records, Vcds, DVDs, CDs, kitchenware, decorative items, souvenirs, bedsheets, tableclothes, greeting cards, shoes and loads more. Eg odd items like ang-pow packets, airline souvenirs, buttons and other items people like to collect. I forget to mention clothes which is taking more and more space in my bizniz since Amcorp Mall doesn't discourage the sale of used clothing anymore. The better clothing I sell on Ebay.com.my as well under the id of: wongmal. If you should want to clear out your house and have any of these items just contact me or come to see me at Amcorp Mall. I have no shop as yet. I am usually able to take all comes my way that is in good condition(either by purchase or donation), but since I am becoming increasingly popular as a buyer on the market as well I have to limit the transactions or plan them. Storage space and budget have limits :) On the moment I am keen to get VCD's as I mentioned earlier, but also men's wear and children's clothing in good condition. There is never lack of ladies wear!. You can contact me by ( Admin note - deleted ).

For those who are interested, I will be participating in the extra Merdeka Celebration fleamarket in Amcorp Mall on 31/8. You can find me there at the Lower Ground level (Giant) on that day. I intend to bring mainly clothes (some of the branded stuff as well), books and costume jewelery.
