I was flabbergasted to read that Lee Chong Wei had attacked head coach Yap Kim Hock, saying that Kim Hock placed too much pressure on him to win Msia's 1st title at the badminton World Championships.

Excuse me, but I thot that being a top athlete, tennis player, badminton player or squash player is all about handling pressure?

I hope that Chong Wei was just reacting in the heat of the moment, after losing his match to an Indonesian player.

Not something new for Malaysian players, even since Misbun's time

Winning a few games and / while loosing most of the times ..... :D & then put the blame on every one.

Still can remember the video clip on Buletin Utama when they video shot Choon Tan Fook in his car as he was leaving the Bt Jalil Apartment the following day after they ( with Lee Wan Wah ) have lost the double event in the Sukan Komanwel (if I am not wrong) .... a pathetic smile !!!!!!!!!!! :( :( :(

Lee Chong Wei admitted that play at home are too much pressure,Said : "I no contradiction with the coach, is head coach Phead coach Yap Kim Hock given me great pressure. Today, I play bad".Although Lee Chong Wei did not evaluate their excessive competition, but the Chinese head coach Li Yongbo for his summing up of the culmination of a word, is "ready inadequate."

Players like Lin Dan and Taufik react by taking out their frustrations on their opponents. I've lost count the amount of times they've literally turned up the heat against their opponents who dared give them the inconvenience of a rubber game, whereas our players just tend to save their outubursts for after the matches are decided. :)

Hey, he had already apologised and retracted his accusations. He said that it was entirely his fault for having lost. End of story

With the kind of comments that Lee Chong Wei has been making, I wonder if he has the mental and emotional capacity to make it as a top player? I can't believe he said that he prefered not to be the top seed! C'mon!

The only Malaysian in recent memory that can be said to have any mental toughness is Foo Kok Keong. He may not be the most skillful player around, but his never-say-die attitude make him an extremely tenacious competitor.

BTW, where did FKK go?

all athletes have their good days and bad days... look at all the top badminton players. tell me who has never lost before? even top players like taufik hidayat and lin dan have lost to players who were seeded below them. they had a bad day... lee chong wei lost to sony dwi in this match. sony is a very talented player, so is chong wei. so he had his day...

it's not the end of the world. lee chong wei is still young and has a long way to go. dont kill him, support and encourage him...
