That is the news on the front page of The star
Its about time, but never late, good of PM to decide on this. Its already proven that politics, cronyism and sports cannot mix. Thats why our sports never succeded

I think this is the best news for all those involve in sports and the enthusiasts.

Lets us hope now there will be progress and development in the field of all sports without the interference of politicians and subsequently seeing some results that will put us back in the world sports map.

i forgot where i read it from
in other countries, when the team wins, the coach turun padang and hugs them
in malaysia, when the team wins, it is the politicians who come down and hugs them

Yup... about time !! Buggers became politicians just to become patron saints to these sports bodies or what??? If the sports results had improved ok-la but instead has steadily declined... over the years.

What amazes me is that these fellas are even more thick skinned and would REFUSE to budge and vacate their seats/post when they are no longer needed or wanted... a trait carried from their political nature...

NOW KENA FORCE TO LEAVE - Padan muka...

Read somewhere PM was "requested" to act on this by His Majesty the Agong, who himself resigned as head of the national equestrian club. I doubt this PM has the capacity to act on his own, thats my personal opinion.

Yes it was the Agong that made the move and the PM had no choice but to follow the lead set by teh Agong. Same way the Sultan of Selangor had to make the move on Datuk Z and only then MB started to take action, prior to that semuanya OK. Shame on our elected representatives and our govt. They suppose to know and do what the people want but......

So glad we have a system to allows some check and balance as well as one that can show the way in times where are elected leaders think they are above the law, do as they please, showing poor leadership or think they are royalty....being referred to as First family sometimes can can get to ones head.

Hopefully the royalty will be able to correct the mess were are in since they have some powers as per the constitution.

Daulat Tuanku!!!

Irregardless of whether it was initiated by the Agong or our PM, this is indeed an excellent decision that we Malaysians can applaud and look forward. Whether our sportsmen and sportswomen will now be world champions, it's still a long road ahead.

Bottomline. When level-heads (and not ultra large egos) think, good decisions arise. Bravo!

Err...look at MAS...n Proton...or others for instances...NO interference...???

Ahem...Orchi for one...would be a lousy dreamer...
