i'm using meliane currently, and am considering changing to diane-35 as i've read that it can help improve skin condition. Does anyone knows whats the price like per pack? I just wanted to check out the cost before i consult my gynae on whether it would be suitable for me. Thanks!

The price sold in pharmacy was around RM35 per box last year. Now I think the price would have gone up to more than RM45.

Different people react to contraceptive pills differently. But rule of thumb is that if you exercise regularly, you should stay your normal slender self.

Another cheaper brand would be Marvelon.

Just for your info, Dianne 35 is not recomended to use as contraceptive. In Malaysia and also many other countries, including the country which manufactured Dianne, the approved indication is for acne treatment. It is not recomended to be used for long term due to the higher content of the estrogen. Normally it is only be precribed to use for treatment of acne and it is only for short term, for instance 6 - 12 months time. Not advisable to use as contraceptive. There are many other good choice of oral contraceptive which will not increase your weight and will give you a better and cleared skin for example Mercilon. Mercilon cost only around RM20 where else Dianne is at RM40.
By the way I am a pharmacist and I do a lot of read up on this before. I would like to share with you my knowledge and experience.

thanks everyone. I just got a pack of diane from caring for rm37, and consulted my gynae...although... he did not warn me that it isn't for long term use....well...hopefully after my acne clears up...i can change back to meliane without my skin acting up again.
