View Full Version : Political posts (extract from Wal-Mart to come to Msia?)
If you read the news in full, Walmart actually denied they have any plans in malaysia. i dont know what is going on with our government. they also said they got disney to build a theme park in johor and disney also issued a denial. now, the latest is the VW and proton deal.
I must say you are a full load of craps, Sinleong. After reading what you wrote in Pak Lah Getting married, you are a born loser!! Nothing comes out postive on your comments.
And don't worry. I won't check this board anymore. I quit.
If you despise so much about things in Malaysia, why don't you get out of this country??

kaym - I have to side with sinleong since I cant find anything incorrect about his post - until of course, Proton sign with VW.
anyway, lets have a poll to see who the 30% bumi partner for either WalMart or Metro? My guess - Synergy Drive!

I guess the only thing(s) they miss about is the variety of foods and relatives!

so far sinleong's post is based on published n reported facts. if u have followed recent events, His Truly has truly eroded the rakyat's confidence in him. so sinleong comments can be substantiated in the PM getting married thread. by denying it all, by saying it was RUMOURS, n by getting a blogger to apologize for it (there was a warning issued by the PM Office), wouldn't u feel negativity in that instead? while blogger gets bashed up over TRUTH, what did our PM do? he jz kept mum and officially denied everything.
in fact, i do feel that i have no confidence in the way PM handled that particular 'incident'. Some say, people will lead the way they lead in their home (personal lives). So if that is how he handled the incident, then it could also show how he would handle our country matters.
n sinleong's take would be that walmart HAS already issued an official denial based on the article. what negativity is there when disney had also issued an official denial ? UNLESS, kaym is part of the walmart deal closing team. n when the deal is closed, do let us know more bout it beforehand. *hint maxis* :)

Kaym, I agree with the rest. Pls dont take it personal. If I have money today, I will definately think about migrating for my children sake. Trust me, the next generation will suffer more than us as an ordinary rakyat.

As I see it, kaym was just disgusted with the political ideas inserted into almost everything written about Malaysia in this Forum
Did you guys miss those threads where I had warned you people about posting politically slanted comments into threads that were never meant to be political?
Kaym, I suppose, had quit this forum altogether because it is no longer a fun place. Imagine reading politics in the papers, hearing political news on the radio and getting hit all over by political comments at the office .... you would like to come home , put your feet up and look foreward to a warm meal and maybe watch a nice movie. USJ dot com is home to all of you. Why would you want to come home to a political platform again?
Let me help those people who think like kaym ... I am now warning everyone that I will take action on people who make political comments in non-political threads. I think I need to maintain a sort of asylum for people to unwind. So stop bashing the politicians and governemnt day-in day-out. If you want to do that, please find another Forum to vent. This is not the place. This is HOME

Well said kwchang, i agree whole heartedly with your comments, i hesitate to said anything earlier because some the attitude around here is "if dont like to read then don't read"
maybe chang can add another new section titled - "Tell us something we don't already know". so all political issue all go in there la....... :D
btw, erick, when u say somethings like this...
Well said kwchang, i agree whole heartedly with your comments, i hesitate to said anything earlier because some the attitude around here is "if dont like to read then don't read"
meaning u will just keep quiet even though u think it will screwed up usj.com.my.....i'm sure many msians is behaving this way...definitely i'm doing it...with/without me knowing it.....eg: i felt MR SIRGALAHAD is taking this usj.com.my main forum to post stuff that will only trigger more problems for us here...he can actually post it in warong politik or other appropriate sections but he choose to put it in the main forum...i'm not sure what he's trying to achieve here....but i didnt really make much effort to inform anyone about what i thought....i just stay away and thought it will go away....but it wont...there will always be new issue...i think as a forumer here...we have rights to choose what is suppose or not to be post in the main thread...i would want it to be related to subang...if not, at least it should be about community issues....i know msia is screwing up big time it's important to that we be aware of it and vote wisely, but talking about stuff related to ur house/school/etc is important too...there's some things in life that a politician wont be able to help us...we have to help ourselves...lastly i'm sorry to those that i offended in the past, i dont agree to them in political's point of view...not as a human being.....
my 2 cents
It is very easy to cross the line when it comes to political issues and in many instances issues that affect us living in a community are a result of political decisions or the politicians by virtue of their silence on the matter appears to show no interest in the problems of the community and when they show up just before the elections one cannot but question their sincerity in resolving the issues of the community. If by voicing our frustrations we may have upset some people then we need to be reminded or barred from making our comments. I think that is fair since we are but guests of the forums and if our comments are deemed political and does not fit into the overall scheme of things then so be it.

Chang, I disagree with what you said but then again I wonder if my views are of any significance since I'm no more a resident of USJ. If you limit this forum to just ramblings about USJ, traffic jams at Taipan, who got robbed yesterday and the prices of 100PLUS at coffeeshops at Apollo, this forum would be a drab, seriously.
First and foemost, even if Sinleong's comments are political, or negative, or whatever, one can ignore it or just scroll down, but it is wrong for kaym to just take it too personal and slam people like that! This is over the forum, if this is at the Teh Tarek session or face-to-face, there would certainly be a punch-up.
I agree with Sinleong'c comments here. He was merely expressing the report and explaining the real situation. I don't think he was being negative. As a matter of fact, as I was scrolling down the various postings in this thread, I was feeling exactly what he wrote. And he shouldn't get slammed personally for saying what he did.

sorry for going off the topic here for a bit. but how come my comments have been taken as a political context? and how come someone can come into this forum and take a personal attack against another forumer (i.e. kaym

not only is he not banana-ed or banned, the administrator goes on and defend his feelings. don't i have the right to express my feelings and thoughts in this forum? so, can i take an aggressive stand like kaym against forumers who oppose my views without being banned? if no action is taken, i take it that i can do it.

I dun think that these statements have veered from the subject matter to deserve the response from kaym. And if the moderator do feel strongly abt it too, then this thread should be locked up too. After all it is his perogative and no one can do anything.

I fully agree with sentinel. PERIOD.
What is so political about sinleong's postings? Only narrow-minded people will link everything as political.
And who is kaym to ask sinleong to get out of this country just because he does not like hearing what sinleong has to say. No different from the guy in the government a while ago who said something like this to some M'sians who spoke their minds. Inmature, if you ask me!

Sinleong, you posted on 7June the following ...
If you read the news in full, Walmart actually denied they have any plans in malaysia. i dont know what is going on with our government. they also said they got disney to build a theme park in johor and disney also issued a denial. now, the latest is the VW and proton deal. This is the part where you questioned government actions. As far as my limited knowledge tells me, the original thread was about WalMart coming to open up their chain here. How come you picked on the Government? Like kaym, I did not see the link. All I saw was someone bringing up an issue with the government (again), hence the banana. Did I miss something?

If I may give a comment... Actually, I see nothing wrong with that statement, Chang. Just maybe you are too sensitive with the word 'Government' and you tend to link the word 'Government' with polictical issues.
What Sinleong is trying to comment is these multinational corporation has reluctant to invest in Malaysia. He is merely putting his comment about Malaysia government for not luring them to invest.
There is nothing wrong with this statement ... he is not talking bad about the government, is he? :o
I think sinleong is educated enough to know that this is a community forum.
You know , like where do I get to safely ride my bike in USJ, etc.
Imagine your kid in a kindergarten class, your kid's teacher does nothing but teaches the class on racism and the govt's coulda, woulda, shoulda.
Not relevant right? And there's a warong politik thread already. Post it there ler.
Give you an example on how not add in negativities in a normal post.
Title : Malaysians Reach Summit Of Everest
There's so many things to discuss. Like, admiration for these guys who actually reach there with TV cameras and all. Whether malay , chinese or indian, to reach the summit of everest is amazing.
How many Sherpas to a person? How many Malaysians has reach the summit? Or share your experiences climbing mountains. I wanna share my Mt Kinabalu climb but after seeing all the anti govt comments....demotivated pulak
On a lighter note, one can cheekily say whether they used the counterfeit North Face gear to climb ......
But one of you clowns have to spoil it It will side track to whether a datukship is given or not or the Indian guys were rewarded or not.
So what if one gets rewarded by the govt or not, ..reaching the summit of Everest is more priceless than a reward.
Ok guys....... there's lowyat, putera, etc......... go there ok

There is no need to BAN kaym because he said he has left the Forum and he will not return.
how sure are you that he will not ever return? not that i dont want him or her to return. like everyone else, he or she should be most welcome to post and discuss mutual as well as opposing views. we should be encouraged to do it in a gentleman way. not calling someone a loser, talking crap and leaving the country.
it is not so much the action but the signal that you give to everyone else in this forum. so i can attack someone in this forum and just declare i won't be back? cos that way, no action taken. and next day i can re-register with a different nickname.
anyway, you are the administrator.

I think sinleong is educated enough to know that this is a community forum.
You know , like where do I get to safely ride my bike in USJ, etc.
VSAT, why don't we hold a seminar on this matter? and list down all the do's and don'ts. But you see, it is difficult to make a definition on everything people say in text form because it is said without reference to any facial expression or voice tones. maybe i am not as "educated enough" because i fail to be able to see how in a thread about smart tunnel tolls for example that one can question the government's (especially Samy Vellu) wisdom in this project and it is not deemed to be political. or maybe it is political but in that context, it is acceptable because it is related to the posting.
Birdy is spot on correct that my sentence "i dont know what is going on with our government" is not meant to be an attack on the government. it the fact is, one man intreprets and decides what is political and what is not political in this forum.
