Who gives a ****e what he says. I remember that he wanted to cut down the waiting time for patients in government hospitals. If he has done that then only talk. Otherwise keep quiet/

saml,
you are out of line. The talk is on Health Issues .. nothing to do with his political career. I believe he is giving a talk in the capacity as a medical professional.

He is the health minister right? If he says that he will cut down the waiting time for out patient treatment in our government hospitals then we have to take him for his word right? Otherwise he has no right to make that kind of statements and giving the rakyat false hopes. Please do not get me wrong. I have nothing against him as a doctor or a politician. It is just that he had made a statement that he has been unable to fulfill so far and i think that he has put in a couple of years in the ministry. I as a rakyat is holding on to what he has said and claimed that he would do. If any of you had spent time waiting for treatment in government hospitals then you would probably understand the frustrations of being misled.

this thread was started by JD to announce that Dr Chua is giving a talk organised by COSTAM. Where in the world did it mention about service delivery? I believe this is not a political rally but a talk by a qualified medical professional to a gathering of professionals. The title of the talk is Health Issues not issues of the delivery of medical services. My friend, "Health Issues" would involve for example
a)the risks of communicable diseases in Malaysia due to the large population of foreign workers who come from places that have poorer health care
b)the issue of foreigners using the cheap medical facilities at public hospitals
c)the dangers of AIDs amongst promiscuous males who are either uneducated or don't care

See my point?

Why is it that some forum members mix things up?
Why is it that everything must be politically or religiously linked?

May I suggest that those people with political and racial thoughts please take a walk or jog around your neighbourhood this evening or the coming weekend. Look at the grass and the trees, listen to the birds in the park. If you have family, take the kids out for a walk or a picnic..... some of you have been cooped up too long in your cubicles ;)
