View Full Version : Where can find notebook spare parts?

Anyone know where can I find the replacement for my Dell notebook keyboard key? What happened here is my 'F3' key came off and lost. I went to one of the spare parts shop to look it but they said they don't have the key for my model (I am using Latitude D610). :(

Anyone here has any insights?

I suggest you.. buy a keyboard =P. I used keyboard all the time (since my laptop is at home). But, since your asking.. ask Dell?

Personally.. i'd rather use a keyboard (but for the on-the-go sorta thing), yeah, call Dell, ask for them to repair or something =P

yeah, I think u hv to call Dell. Unless if u can find another unit somewhere and pry the F3 key out.

There are two shops, 2nd hand, that does keep parts. One in Lowyat and one in Sunway Pyramid.

or just cut out a piece of cardboard box and put it there hehehe. Nah~ they wont know the difference =P

Mind to give the name of the shop? If not, some indication as to which floor it is located, etc?

The lowyat one...eerr dunno the name, its 2 floor from the top level. On the right at the escalator. You can see, there is lots of Dell spare parts and recon Dell.

Sunway pyramid one on top floor it center, next to the shop selling networking stuff... also lots of NB spare parts. This one easier to find... :D

Thanks fRanky, it's been a long time since I last visited Low Yat (difficult to get parking). I will make a trip there this weekend and search for the shop. Thanks for the info.

can take the monorail (Imbi - Berjaya Time Square). Park near Maharajalela station (Stadium Merdeka carpark (RM2, I think)
