View Full Version : Well balanced meal
In the Malaysian diet, what is a well balanced meal?
I would think that you need a healthy portion of fruits and vegetables, meat/seafood, and dairy. So eating rice with chicken, fish and vegetables would be considered well balanced?
I know someone who believes that a plate of fried noodles is balanced enough cos got meat n vege in it.
Hmmm.... no one seems to be answering this thread. Is it that we have swayed away from well-balanced meals?

There's no balanced meal. Even a doctor can't prescribe a balanced meal, and even for us to prepare it. People resulted in daily intake of health supplements to get a balanced nutrients and vitamins. Is this the best method?
We eat what we like to eat, not we are supposed to eat.
I've been taking a health product that provides me a healthy and balanced meal everyday and I do feel good about it. ;)
why not? i believe a well balanced meal should have a decent portion of protein, carbohydrates and a small amount of fat. What I do know is we should have 5 servings of fruits and vegetables in a day. A nutritionist once told me a standard rice bowl = 2 servings.

I think, hahaha, you have actually answered your own query on your 1st post. I too think that a well balanced meal is an intake of everything dairy, meaty, vege and fruity, but in moderation.
I do not believe in taking vitamins as supplements. Save me a lot of money.
