Hello all!

I'm a resident of USJ9, who only just joined this e-community.

There will be a Community Carnival organised by Sunway University College this May 12th. It will kickstart with a Run around Bandar Sunway, followed by events on the campus ground.

On behalf of the organisation, I'd like to extend an invitation to ALL residents of USJ, Bandar Sunway, Subang Jaya and even beyond. Everyone is welcomed to join the merriment! You can direct any enquiries to carnival@sunway.edu.my, call 03-7491 8622 ext 8019 or just ask me through this forum (yup, I'm one of the organisers)

For the Men and Women's Open (18 years and above), it's 5 km.
For Boys and Girls (13 - 17 years old) it's 4km.
Family Run (non competitive event, family of four comprising adult and children), its 4km.

The Family Fun Run is worth considering. It's always fun to participate in activities with our loved ones especially children. I participated in the Fun Run of SJ 10 KM run few years ago. Its was fun and both of my children enjoyed it so much.

Who's is interested?

Dear elchoy, can you put up a link to the run so that we can sign up?

Thanks.

Waaa...very nice gathering. I have a few young children of my own & wish to participate. How to do so?

Maybe if the daycare centers near my place don't mind, would it be ok to invite the parents of these children (my kids' colleagues), to join as well? Where would I get the pamhplets to distribute to the parents?

And finally, do all participating kids get gift(s)?

Thanks.

Hi Elchoy,

I had a peek at the web site

http://www.sunway.edu.my/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=911

But I only saw an image; there was no click-through to info about the treasure hunt, drawing competition etc. Can you tell me where I can get info about registration, times, payment (or is it free?) etc?

Cheers,
Ellen

Yes.... how much is the participating fee? What is the minimum age for the young children to participate in the Children Dash? :)

But to answer an important question first ;) :

Participation is FREE and OPEN to all and there are prizes to be won! The only fee that applies are for the Community Run and they are

- RM 10 for Men's Open, Women's Open and Boys and Girls Categories
- RM20 for Family Run

Please feel free to invite all your family and friends :)

Hi Birdy,

There is no minimum age. As long as your baby has started crawling (below 1 year-old), s/he can participate in the Cutie Crawlers.

For those who are aged 1-3 years old, they can join the Junior Dash.
