Dervish
18-04-2011, 12:53 PM
There's two class bullies in Primary 5 or 6 and I can't remember their bloody son-of-a-hippopotamus name. They were a miserable pair and made life miserable for everyone as well. They don't bother me, I don't bother them. One day, they did!

I hollered at them and what ensued was a fight. We took it up outside in the playing field far away from the school building. I was outnumbered. Then while they were gloating and taunting me, I delivered two chops right into their mid-riff. They howled. All hell broke loose. I raced towards the classroom. More fighting. They grabbed someone's water bottle and aimed it at me. It missed. The water spilled onto my desk. I was saved by the bell.

Then my class teacher (who is one huge bulky son-of-a-hippopotamus himself) walked in. See? His kid was in our class. We got along handsomely. (I usually got along handsomely with others except those two, of course) This kid went to Daddy, whispered into his fleshy elephant ears and then they looked at the three of us.

The class hippopotamus of a teacher walked over to the two hostiles, grab them up with his strong hippopotamus arm and sat them on my wet desk.

Surprise, surprise! ~~~ :D ~~~ I got away scot free. I was asked to sit at another desk and the lesson continued with those two hostiles sitting wet bottomed on my desk, head and shoulder over the rest of the class, all stifling urgently to contain their smirks and jeers. :D:D

That was such a fine memory.

Bump into one of the hostiles a couple of years ago. The son-of-a-hippopotamus is now driving a red porche!

Dervish
18-04-2011, 04:08 PM
I don't. I believe in humility and modesty. Keeping quiet until people discovered that the fine fella who did that kind deed was actually me. I've given anonymous flowers to people who don't deserve it and sacrificed rewards for those whose lives will be greatly advantaged by them. And as for flaunting any material possession, I don't believe in that either. When you flaunt, you make people feel small. And that's a no-no.

Difficult to say. A question like this stirs up all kinds of issues. Should a man insist that his beautiful wife be wrapped up from head to toe without any breathing space in between.... should a man remain calm when others are ogling at his beautiful wife.... should a man flaunt his wife..... how does a man feel when his wife flaunts her beauty.....

What do you think?

Dervish

When do you think pek moh will call it a day?
Will he ever? He is not popular in Kuching. Some of the Chinese community may look like they support him but they gripe behind his back. As for the Bidayuhs and the rest (They do resent being known as dayaks even if collectively) they hated him outright.

As you did see, he lost Kuching which is not surprising but won the interior, which is again not surprising. If you've been to the longhouses, which I'm sure you've been to, you'll see how hardcore poor they are..

So will he quit? I say he'll hang on to it as long as he can. BTW have you seen his riverside mansion?

Dervish

Enchanting is the word. It sits almost close to the river-mouth. A magical show of bluish light greets the visitor at the landing. Inside, the cutlery is golden and you can sink into the thick carpet and lose yourself in a deep slumber, quite content never to awake.

Okay, a little dramatic here...:D

Once, I was at a private club where a ball room dance was in session. A young couple was doing the rock and roll (I think) when suddenly, the man failed to catch his partner in time after a swirl and she landed on the dance floor. The poor lady was very upset and walked off the floor leaving the embarrassed guy standing lost and confused.

Under the circumstances, what would you do?

This happens quite often, maybe the floor is slippery or maybe her dancing shoes do not have a pair of plastic brakes.

Whatever it is just walk over and offer an apology.

I think it is not right to celebrate death, any death for that matter. Should Osama be captured alive? If he is, his captors will have more problems than they can handle. So a swift decision as in this case is actually the best way out.

Do you smell anything fishy in the entire affair? Conflicting news. Obama's decision not to make public photographs of the dead man.

Milo and plain bread is too bland for me. I need something far more exotic and since I haven't found it yet, I don't do supper so I won't miss what I haven't got. IMHO supper, being supper should be exotically prepared. When I see supper, I see a table laden with meat galore, sweet grapes, roast suckling pigs, roast lamb, BBQ chicken, cakes, sweets, roast trotters, lobster thermidor, satay etc. Guests loungering on thick cushions above raised platform, sheer curtains billowing in the night's cooling breeze, young girls keeping up an endless flow of sweet wine. ~~~ What? Too much detail? Get real? Okay. :o

I am pessimistic about USJ.com so I'm going to go with "No!" The crowd over here (with a few exception) are mostly very cheng keng (proper) and have larger than life issues with little time to spare for lighthearted bantering, guessing games and such. If you look at the attendance at the Game Section, you should know what I mean. The active participation consists of a handful, less than five, counted conservatively, and the Administrator seemed to favor a more serious and mature membership while amusement-seekers are discouraged as evidenced by his action.

Am I wrong in my assessment?
