A beautiful woman looks at you strAight in the eye and smiles. What's your first reaction?

Dervish
10-10-2010, 05:58 PM
Hey, I always dine at Pantai Seafood, always ordered their roast trotters and yin-yang kai-lan. Loved their cheese-baked lobster and snow-crabs....*slurp~~~!!*

As for the beautiful woman, the first reaction will be one of the following depending on the circumstances at hand:-

(a) Turn to OH to explain that the beauty is boss's wife; OR
(b) Smile back with a steady gaze and wait for buddies to notice; OR
(c) Turn behind me to see who she's smiling at

Health as money won't be able to buy all things healthy. Sometimes, it's all about luck. For example, the old man that manages the Kampar fish ball stall at Parkway. I've seen him smoking during his breaks on many occasions. He must be at least in his mid 60's. Cigarettes is bad for everyone but him! So, it's luck. That chappie is a lucky man indeed. Money can't buy that! So...yes, it has got to be health for me first, then money! haha.

On a side-tracking note, the Parkway Kampar fish ball soup isn't exactly great. Besides, the man is in his 60s and at that age, he's had nothing to lose. Health is probably unimportant to him. I wouldn't call him "lucky" when he had to slog at that age. Maybe that's why he smokes, to cloud his disillusion.

I was this close *gesturing with hands* when it first came out here in Dec 2010 but I was so busy with work, I decided to wait. While waiting, it soon hit me that the iPad is not as "chun" as it was thought to be. Initially when it hit stores in the USA, then in Spore, everybody wanted one. I got a friend who travelled to Spore, stood in line for an hour and paying in Sing dollars to boot, just to own one. But it was different then. It had the glamour/show off factor then. But now everybody can have one as it's quite affordable. And so with that, the glamour factor has disappeared overnight. Also, what can 16/64gb do compared to a lappie's 500GB hd space? And flash player doesn't work on it too. WORD/EXCEL also tak boleh pakai unless you buy a software to run it. A hassle and extra cost there. At the end of the day, I find that it doesn't work for me. Luckily, my busy schedule stopped me from buying it. :D

And flash player doesn't work on it too. WORD/EXCEL also tak boleh pakai unless you buy a software to run it. A hassle and extra cost there. At the end of the day, I find that it doesn't work for me. Luckily, my busy schedule stopped me from buying it. :D

Why wouldn't you want to buy an iPad?

My answer is the same as yours.

I am thinking of getting one - just to go on the internet and play games when out of the house. Battery life lasts long and wt is light. Any cheaper alternative for this purpose? If it's just to play games, have you considered the iPod touch? Though the screen size is smaller, everything else is (appears to be) the same, imho. Besides, you don't want to waste too much money on a game machine. By comparison the Player Station3 (equipped with a Blue Ray player, no less) costs only about RM1300 (I think), though, of course, it's inconvenient for you to take it outdoors. :D

New question: Do you think the world will ever be rid of pirated goods?

A lot of times, pirated goods come in handy, eg, you can get DVD movies cheaply.

Piracy (of goods) will continue to flourish unless original goods come down in prices and that, my friend, isn't happening anytime soon.

When was the last time you attended a Malay wedding reception?

I prefer the latter.

The latter. There is more fun and business opportunities abound too. For a short holiday, though, the former should prove to be good fun, away from the maddening crowd & all that jazz. :D

Jazz music is your cup of tea?

I like all music....except RAP. Can't understand the nonsense spewing out of their filthy mouths.

Jazz? Yeah, love it. Guess it is an acquired taste. My better half hates it, saying it's nothing but noise! :p :D

Local music. Are you fond of it? Or don't give it the time of day?

Occasionally a few good ones do shine but I can't recall any right now.
