View Full Version : Marrybrown
Anyone seen any Marrybrown outlet around SJ/Shah Alam? My pregnant wife is craving for marrybrown's spicy seafood porridge and I just can't find it.

I don't think there is any Marrybrown outlet in Subang Jaya or Shah Alam. However, there is one in Metro Prima Shopping Centre (Jusco) in Kepong and another in Zoo Negara.
haiiya! so far away :( Marrybrown website is more interested in selling its franchise rather than its products. Should have a list of their outlets...

yes. I tried searching for you last night and there is nothing much in www.marrybrown.com.my
anyways, just to "suppress" your wife's hunger while the forumers here help to search for marrybrown locations, maybe your wife would like to have a look at the jpg of the food :D

Will we be held under ISA? We are advertising Fast Food!
hhtee , thanks for the info..
Our first taste with marrybrown was actually after the big flood at Segamat. While the kings of fast food (mcd, kfc, pizzahut) were closed down marrybrown remained open. The foods were mostly sold out except for the porridge - and we loved it since. It's just a simple dish with 4 premixed ingredients placed on top, nothing fancy or enticing. It's a pity that it's hard to find the outlets here, I might try to look out for the Klang outlet though.

oh yeah, before you go, it is best to find out whether there is an outlet there. Maybe you could phone up the Marrybrown HQ. Don't wanna disappoint your wife and yourself i.e. when you arrive, it's shifted or something like that.
Oh do note that Jalan Temoh is very near Jalan Goh Hock Huat. Jalan Goh Hock Huat is FAMOUS for Pondans (Transvetites). So don't be too shock if you see sexy "women" walking around in Saree, Dress, etc. Also, along along Jalan Goh Hock Huat is the chinese shool, SMJK (C) Pin Hwa. Some popular landmarks around these areas are the Royal Comfort Hotel and Goldcourse Hotel.

Oh... in that case, I know definitely Ocean is not there anymore!
So looks like the best thing to do is to phone up Marrybrown HQ and ask for where their outlets are

I think the nearest Marrybrown to USJ is Sri Petaling. It is new and is located inside The Store.
Called up marrybrown and they gave only one address in Klang - somewhere at Persiaran Sg Keramat, off Jalan Kapar (http://www.streetdirectory.com/malaysia/kl/travel.php?grande=1&x=767900.41&y=341280.21&level=5). Tried to locate the one in Jln Temoh but couldn't find it, must've closed down. Then off to Jln Kapar and managed to find one a few doors away from EconSave. Arrived at around 5pm and the spicy porridge that we ordered were the last that they have for the day. A few minutes late and the girl next in queue would've tapau it all away.
Me & my wife just like the spicy porridge... haven't tried others on their menu. There are quite a lot on their menu such as ayam pandan, something that looks like tied-up-prawns, keropok-in-a-bucket, etc. Maybe we'll try those whenever we come across another marrybrown. Is the one in Sri Petaling inside Endah Parade? I might head there the next time my wife wants one.
