A very sad, fantasy movie about a gurl who lives in a imaginary world of her own. There are two parts of the story to this movie. BUt blends in well beautifully. A wicked wonderland of haunting horror.

There is a part i dun understand. The movie says that she lives in a fantasy world of her own, but how can her step father found the mandrake root if its imaginary??

I got quite confused with this movie. No doubt the CGI and story line is really good, but am still confused... :o

It's a cruel dark fairy tale with grim and sometimes, shocking violence. Has 6 oscars nomination. A word of warning - anyone who takes a child to see this movie would be both sadistic and stupid.

Yea... which is what got me confused... as in the beginning of the story says that she is a reincarnation of an underworld princess, only the sypnosis of the movie says that its all fantasy, not a real things.

In whichever's case, one should watch it just for it's dark 'lesson'. Values and choose what is right. ;)
