Dr Mohd Khir mentioned that the recent sex surveys by UKM were flawed. Based on the 887 people sample

Dr Mohd Khir mentioned that his officers then phoned up 54 of the respondents. The respondents then told the officers that they were virgins.

Firstly, how could UKM reveal the details of the respondents? What kind of university researcher is this? In other words, guys, please don't ever participate in the research set up by local universities.

Secondly, when his officers phoned up the respondents, can you imagine what sort of questions the officers may ask...?
* I am from the Menteri Besar's office. Recently you took a survey. Your name is blah blah blah. your age is 16 years old. you study in blah blah blah. you are a secondary school girl. did you know it against the law blah blah blah. Now, tell me, are you a virgin?

what do you think the respondent would answer?

How on earth could the MB "force" UKM for the details of the respondents?
How on earth can UKM give out the details of the respondents?
Is the researcher involved in this survey even fit to do research?
There is something called Research Ethics and they should read that up prior to giving out the respondent's details.

Next time, local university researchers MUST put a warning sign like this.

Warning: Your Private Information Will Be Used By the MB

One thing I agree with the researcher is that she mentioned that her research is on PROBLEMATIC students.

But I am still BAFFLED as to HOW ON EARTH the MB got hold of PERSONAL DATA and phoned the respondents?

YUP! Politikus

If it is true that the MB's officers phoned the respondents, then UKM is in deep trouble! What happens when the news paper highlights, "University Un-ethically discloses Personal Survey Respondent's Data"

Wouldn't that make one of the popular University in this country look bad?

If you use Politikus to your advantage, at least use minimum of 50kg of your brains to think lah.

Wha is the big deal of losing virginity at 16 and being sexually active? The politikus aint angels themselves with some top ppl being well known for their behaviour when overseas.

didn't the same MB declared Selangor a developed state based on a smaller sample size? If he did, well he has set a precedent.

Looks like these fellas will have no problem should they have the need to have some fun since they can so easily access to information that's supposed to be P & C.

secondly, what qualifications / knowledge / skills, etc does the MB & his officers have to comment on the research? I cannot say anything if they are in research, physcolgy, etc. if it is within their fields, by all means comment. if I am a doctor, I cannot comment that my accountant did his job wrongly if I don't have accounting knowledge, etc

also, a ressarch is a research. if the ukm's researcher defined something in the research, then let it be. the mb cannot say the defination is wrong. (of course I m not agreeing that touching nose is sex)

from what I see, some politikus is trying to make the public think that selangor is a alim (holy) state with all secondary students behaving.

Sure every religion emphasis on virginity before marriage. But it is non of their problem too if one choose not to be one when reaching 18. Its their choice.

Me thinks, somebody's arm got twisted till it broke like the diagram shown!!! :D

Now they say, only 3% of girls had sex. Isn't it strange that ONLY after the intervention of MB , the HOOHAA, the YELLING of MB, etc. that they started to change the results????

Why cant the MB just let the results be? Who is he to know about research methodology? Who is he to know about phsycology? Who is he to know about Sex Research? Who is he to ask his men to phone the respondents up?

Something Stange is going on don't you guys think?
