Admin note - the original title of this thread was asking for the meaning of the acronym - CIMB.

unless you're trying to be funny, you can check out their site.

In 2004, we began the process of creating a strong and competitive universal bank anchored by Commerce International Merchant Bankers (CIMB), the region’s largest investment bank.

let's make this thread more useful, perhaps the mod can edit the title.

the trend is this towards 2008, some but not all the existing banks, will be looking into merges options to strengthen their positions, CIMB is the largest bank in the country if I'm not mistaken after merging with SBB.

2nd - Maybank, 3rd another possible merging of banks =) find out yourself.

perhaps some may explain the reasoning for the rest =), I'm kinda 'kejar masa'.

not yet lah ... in my dream maybank still at the top, CIMB at his bottom, and side by side candidate with possible third if EON+RHB merger go thru and then behind at 4th is PBB ....
