I saw the Star this morning and Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir was on the list of Malaysia's billionaires 2007! Wow! Looks like the young man has done well indeed to be worth that much money... he must really be a good businessman to have accumulated so much money and wealth....

I guess these people ie PM's sons are all really good management people and have great business abilities and acumen. Look at the other PM's son, Kamaluddin Abdullah of Scomi, I'm sure he is worth as much, if not more, than many other businessmen in Malaysia, including Datuk Mokhzani Mahathir. I am sure these good business traits like business management abilities and a good nose for business must be running in Prime Ministers' children.

Bravo Mokhzani, Bravo Kamaluddin, congrats on your billions / millions! :D

Actually there are some non-politicians heir that also became quite a well to do person. Look at Genting or YTL.

I guess its the way how the children was brought up and what they had experienced. Education is important.

I'm sure some pedigree of politicians or businessman had a way to teach their children by giving them proper educations or when they sees their parents interacts with business people.

Compared to a person / children with less exposure, certainly they might have certain late mover disadvantage over the more well to do 1st generation family.

I think Nazir Razak once said something like "of course, being a Razak will opens door, but now, he can proof that he himself can make deals.".

I think the list was based on the market value of their known assets.

The list may change if semua bocor. ;)

i don't like the list, it only "shows" chinese being rich while indians and malays are not. this is not true, i think in "cash" term, i am sure there will be a lot of malays or some indians which wud make the list too...........i maybe wrong as it is just a hunch.

This will be difficult to track.

There seem to be an extraodinary high concentration of GREAT businessmen among the ex- and present PM's sons and son-in-law!

Read the lines, not between them. You are not allowed to interpret the way you think it should be interpreted. Let it flow Chang, let it flow...
