I post below an appeal for support. Please participate if you can make it. Rgds.

Dear Friends,

This is an appeal for your HELP. We need true-blooded Malaysians who feel for issues “corrupting our nation” to attend this Dialogue as ordinary citizens. You are one of them and can you mobilize others. Thanks.

With YB Shahrir and Dato Dr Cyrus Das as Keynote Speakers and moderated by Dato Dr Tan Kee Kwong, you will get more than your money’s worth of education on related issues. Moreover, with Citizen Nades, PJ Citizens’ Advocate Edward Lee, Prof Shad Saleem Faruqi and Lawyer Andrew Khoo and their views on the matter, you cannot go too far wrong to hear all sides on the matter. Your views also matter as we will table the findings to the Parliamentary Special Committee on Integrity.

So, please pass the word around and get people to come. It is only 30 ringgit per person and RM25 per person for a group of ten with pre-registration and payment. For a half day event of total education, I am sure you will do your self a favour by coming. Just sign up electronically and pay on the spot.

Will it be conducted in English?

Notice this is the 4th National Congress on Integerity. Does it's findings and discussions really matter to parliament, meaning umno? Not trying to be cynical but what has improved since the recommendations of the Royal Commission on the Police ?

actually nothing!

What has the other 3 delivered?

This is another possible 'talk-shop' of 'lofty ideas' and those behind it though having noble ideas will get no where?

Don't get me wrong I know some of them rather personally and they are good people :) but I am tired of all these congress, meetings, campaigns of so called brillant ideas that just gets no where!

Buang masa dan duit sahaja - change - it all boils down to a four letter word UMNO!

Do our 'kris waving friends want to change?

Look what happened to Zaid Ibrahim a brillant, honest, outspoken politician and friend?

Now they want to spin 'new stories and images' in the UK starting at the LSE then onwards at Davos???

Perhaps, they think ppl in the UK and the rest are also stupid!

As someone said this is another "shok sendiri' event - brillant speeches, brillant Q & As, brillant coverage on the media, after that it hits the dust like the others before it!

So far, yes in English.

And no, you are not being cynical about the improvements made. What you and Dr J George express are quite valid. Similarly too with a lot of other NGOs' seminars, meetings etc. But then, let's also try to rationalize. What else do we do? Sit back, do nothing else and just hope for change to happen? At least if we lend our support and/or our voice, at least the powers that be will not think that (quote Dr George) " ppl in the UK and the rest are also stupid!"

Err...here's Orchi's 10,018th cents...The YB Dato Shahrir Abdul Samad is still the Chairman of the UMNO backbencher club...right?

Heard one time he threatened to quit...right?

So if he is righteous about wanting positive changes to come about for the good of this country...n armed with the knowledge n experience of the shortcomings of the present freaking UMNO led BN government n 1,000,000 civil service staffs...he should walk the talk...quit to join n strengthen the Opposition parties...instead.

Otherwise...Orchi doesn't see pass his contributions when he is still remaining as 1 of the UMNOputras...
