In short... It was reported in The Sun on 19/1/2007 that MPSJ has instructed all security barriers managed by private resident associations be removed.
Raja Petra has mentioned in the article that unless the police can give the assurance that the crime level in SJ can be reduced substantially, it is unfair that MPSJ give such order.

Read further down the story and then you might just get a whiff of a something brewing... I think they realised that Subang Jaya/USJ residents are "willing" to pay to ensure some sense of security but they will not get any piece of the pie if the security services are left in the residents' care. So the only way is to "order" the dismantling of the present setups... right?
... the next thing would be like MPSJ "offering" privatised security services from their cronies/cohorts?... just like their "privatised pest control services"
Kelak, ada kemungkinan kerja pengawasan diberikan kepada syarikat kawalan swasta dan kos penyelenggaraan kemudiannya dibebankan kepada penduduk di sekitarnya.

usj27resident,
I believe that last statement was only a conjecture on the part of the author. At this point, I would say that you folks are bordering on baseless accusations, please be careful. This is not a defence for MPSJ but just a caution to stick to facts.

Thanks for the caution but what if conjecture turns to reality? MPSJ has yet to clarify their stand and sudden change of attitude toward the residents having their own security set-ups. What next - MPSJ telling residents that the backlane barriers too, must be removed?
Or is this the fallout from the Sri Melur USJ3 and USJ18 security thingy?
