A large cross section of Malaysian society now believe that there is now a ‘lack of a national vision or direction’ and that ‘a lot of Malaysians are at a loss as to where the nation is heading’.

There is also talk that present 'leaders' are greatly 'lacking in intelligence’

Should our former premier, Tun Dr Mahathir return to lead this county again and put wrongs right? ;)

Not much can be improved unless miracles happen. Dr M and Pak Lah sama sama lar.... just that the latter lacked of IQ, curi makan liao tak tau lap mulut. :p

Malaysia really lack good leaders. Dr M? Abdullah? Anwar?

Abdullah's administration may be trying to open up the market, but as far as the lay person is concerned, everything has gone up, living cost rocketed up, buying power has much eroded,..... I'm on the brink of losing my job next month,... and I'm sure I'm not alone... :(

Yes, I agree that Dr M should be back, although I disagree with a lot of things that Dr M implemented, I think he's the better of the worst. He should be back.

Tengku Razaleigh for one.

Not keen for TDM to come back. We have had enough of him.Time to move on but Pak Lah is not that man. He has failed miserably and will lead us down the drain if he is still in charge come next GE.

Sure there is talent and leadership out there, TDM is not the only one. Maybe TDM can put that man into UMNO as the person that he has picked is clearly not the right choice.

I guess your statement would be correct if [b]we are Malays-ians. We should look for Malays-ian to be a PM. Any Malay-sian?

Unless there are changes to the coming GE or world war three, otherwise, you continue to dream on.

so who is that man who will be savior of Malaysia before we are consumed by economic chaos?

Ku Li?

Like Rocky indicated perhaps, Che Det can point towards that person who may have made that difference if fate had been kinder to him? :D

But we need something fast! The sentiments on the ground .............bad to put it midly! :o

wow!!! now look we are singing praises for TUN...We Malaysians are reputed to have a poor memory..anyway UMNO is the all mighty supreme power of Malaysia only they can decide...at the Moment we dont have a capable leader and in the future too. Tun M has made sure of that and has trained them not to think out of the box.

The present lot are all products of Dr. M. How good can the producer be if all his products are half-past-six ? :o

Ku Li? Memory lapse my friends? He was Finance Minister during the BMF fiasco in HK. Left umno and returned with tail behind his back.

The one hopeful and respectable candidate is Musa Hitam, but he has made it clear he's done with active politics. Can't blame him really with the current bunch of parasites in umno/bn.
If he changes his mind and form a formidable opposition, bolehland will have a real chance. I think a complete change of the federal garmen is the only hope for bolehland.

For umno aka BN be any good to the nation, they need to be in the opposion for 5-10 years. They need to be in the same position as the KMT of Taiwan to be able to see themselves and do a self service of reforming their false beliefs, money politics and arrogance. And chop away all the racist bigots and deadwood.

Quite a few to choose from:

1. Raja Nazrin Shah
2. Zaid Ibrahim
3. Marina Mahathir
4. Nasir Tun Razak

Yep, I second that. Also can consider Raja Petra of Malaysia Today (http://www.malaysia-today.net) too.

Marina Mahathir would be a good choice but not acceptable to UMNOputras, too outspoken for their liking and I doubt they can tahan her 'intelligence'.

Even TDM said about her daughter, "she speaks her mind and she has an independant mind... but she's still my daughter and we respect each other's stand on various issues, I don't and cannot control nor influence her".

Here's some interesting questions

Would u vote for TDM if he ran for Opposition ticket?

If so which party would best suit him?

Chances of winning?

I'm in the IT industry. Whole department was closed down end of last year. I was the only sole survivor,... but looks like only for a few weeks.

Last week, I was told that they would reduce my salary by more than 65%, if I agree with their restructuring plan (using a clause within my employment contract). By doing so, basically, they're just forcing me out..... :(

Well,.... life goes on.

Dr. J George
24-01-2007, 09:24 AM
yes they are "forcing" you out!
this is one of the many games 'corporate vultures in management circles' do!
you have a choice of resigning in protest and citing constructive dismissal and taking up your case before the industrial court under Section 20. your case will be heard in 10 years time if you are again lucky and even after you win - big cash rich companies using their solicitors will file for appeal and there again you wait ..........
a sad reality and I speak from experience, pain and suffering being endured since October 20th 1999 to date!
.......but be of good courage and pray for divine guidance and strength my friend, for the ALMIGHTY WILL PROVIDE YOU STRENGTH! :)

Guess we are all worried for our jobs at the moment. I am worried to more for my kid than anything else. Business at the ground level is bad no matter what they say at the top. We working class are having a tough time. Besides as a spill over from this will be the increase in crime rate, for sure.

No matter what Pak Lah say about things will improve this year, i am skeptical. Now the Johor Project 'tersangkut' bcoz of the floods. so what is there to spur the economy.. I beg some expert to tell me.

Doesn't our constitution say that the Agung can do something?

For PM any capable malaysian it about time...there should not be a question of race anymore.. it any Capable MALAYSIAN.

Hey...why noy Tony Fernandez for PM ?

I think he better concentrate on his business first.
Not all great businessman are suitable for a PM post .
Also there might be a conflict of interest.... money versus rakyat.

our whole country is not working as ONE or at the same "LEVEL".
we are not even moving at the same direction.

assuming... just assuming that we are doing what the thais or the philipines did..

i can assure that we will be performing a royal london circus performance.
