Once again Air Asia is offering 1 Million FREE SEATS to most of the destinations. I didn't manage to search for the earlier thread that started in 2005. The booking period is from 9.01.2007 to 19.01.2007 and travel period is from April'07-Oct'07. It's time to travel again... :)

but its only for Asia destinations and you have to spend on the package of course...obviously the price of the ticket is included in the holiday package. But on the whole its still reasonable.

Got an email from them.

Oh joy, let's all hammer their servers and see if the hamsters will collapse from an aneurysm or broken valve. I remember the last time around when they gave away so many seats. I still wonder if they lost more business than gained due to the utter horrid experience trying to get a seat during the promo period.

Anyway, will try again this year. Talk to OH first.

PS: If I were selling hosting and bandwidth, I would've made a killing off AA.
PPS: Thanks for the heads-up.

My family got a free trip to Bali during 2005 promo! Only paid for fuel surcharge and airport tax. Only cost us about RM155 for return trip. Very worthwhile.

Just tried the same thing - Bali for 5 = RM800 in surcharges, Phuket for 5 = RM1225 in surcharges... (RM700 for the run leg!) Damn...

So much for the free seats... :p

Really la... nothing is really free... always got catch... somewhere !

Free...not totally lah. Airport tax and fuel surcharge mesti ada punya plus admin fee.

anyway got two tickets for RM245(return) to thailand. :) MAS surcharge is approx that RM200++, SIA is much higher surcharge. So not bad lo.

you mean, if a flight is RM500, then u book package of flight+hotel, then the RM500 flight becomes RM0 ? does that include all the flight tax and charges?
