wondering if anyone cares to share their frustration, joy, anger in bringing the kids to school today either standard 1 or 2 in chinese school?.

Had the joy of bringing my kids to school today and i was totally dissapointed with the cleaniness of the school, classroom, toilet, traffic jam and did not see any teachers around except the traffic man who has done a good job under the tough situation. Best part is the std 2 classroom was never even opened when the students arrives?

Should the cleaning by done by the teacher and students and some parents as well?.

why can't the headmaster have a better planning to ensure that things are executed well with assistance from the teachers, guards, cleaners(saw the cleaner from "Urus Bersih" did nothing....also i noticed that the security is very slack there. Is this a typical chinese school environment or just this particular school?. like to hear from all....esp from chinese school....

I don't think it's a matter of chinese school, malay school or tamil school. But a GOVERNMENT school. Which school are you talking about? The best is to raise this up at the PIBG board meeting to get the attention of the principal. They don't usually act until it concerns the reputation of the school.

A few years back when my daughter was in a chinese school in SJ, i brought up the matter on this forum about the security issues esp when there was a kidnapping there. Back in Taiwan, there are parents who are regulars at the classrooms and they help the teachers to organize things around the class b4 school starts in the morning. That way, those regular parents/class PTA reps are a familiar face and the children in those classes know who to go to when they hv a problem. Also, every child looks out for one another. It is like networking. Those few parents can also look out for the children once they get to know them too. There is only one class teacher for every 50-odd students in each class. Dont expect the teacher to do everything. They are stressed enough, unfortunately, in those chinese schools, parents arent allowed in the class. Parents/PTA members for each class can also make sure the environment is kept clean and neat. Those same PTA members are also responsible for helping out at school activities and parties. Networking and organizing are the key.. pick 4 PTA members for each class, then elect 4 members for the overall school PTA.
Time for the principal to make a trip to Taiwan and learn a thing or two from the schools there.

Is there anyone around here who has a child studying in Bandar Sunway but living in SJ? My daughter needs transport to and fro school but there are no buses plying those routes. I cant keep getting cabs for her and she refuses to change school since we wont be here for long.
