Any idea where can I trade-in my 802.11b Wireless Router (11mbs) and buy a faster 802.11g (54mbs)?

Or whether I can just upgrade it by replacing a chip?

Streamyx only gives 2mbs or less to your router and your ruoter is doing 11mbs to your pc. Hmmmm.....what an upgrade..;)

well, if lzp does a lot of file sharing with multiple computers using wifi, then 54mbps does help a lot compared to the 11mbps.. :)

but if its for 1 computer on the internet, then upgrade is kinda redundant.. ;)

get a new 54mbps wireless router for RM150-RM200 depending on various brands.. got my Belkin 54mbps for RM159 at Digital Mall Section 14.. :)

Not for internet access, it is for my LAN to transfer files from PC to notebook wirelessly.
Throwing away the old one and get a new one is kind of a waste.

that's the norm of buying computer hardware
usually we'll buy a new model even if the old model is still in good working condition..

perhaps you can sell it cheap cheap at fleamarket section.. :)
