The SIL of Taiwan's president was found guilty and jailed 6 years and fined heavily for insider trading.
That's democracy and separation of powers at play when real power belongs to the people and the courts are independent.
Helloooo, bolehland...did the earthquate stopped you from getting this info...helloooo

In this Bolehland, we have the NEP. that provide a "shield" to this kind of power abuse. The SIL has a free hand in helping himself and his cronies.
37 years later today, the noble idea of NEP is now hijacked by the ruling elite in the name of "affirmative" actions and turned into a poltical bargianing chip by the politicians.
The bargaining chip, like the "KRISS", bears a double edges twisted blade. One one side, it twists and turn the othe races into believing that they are 2nd class citizen who do not share an equal right as far as education, government benefits and politics are concrned. And that all other race ought to be thankfull for being allowed to stay.
On the other end, the KRISS dances and flashes it's other side of the blade to instill FEAR in the heart of the ONE RACE. That if they do not obey the KRISS, they will be marginalised and become political refugees and even "pariah" in their own land.
Government handouts are only doled out to the obedient cronies. Those who oppose the KRISS will find themselves cut off from the main stream.
The Big Brother has arrived!

In mainland China politics, it is a well-known fact that there are 2 main factions, ie the Beijing-gang (of which current head honcho Hu Jintao and right-hand man Wen Jiabao belong) and the Shanghai-gang (of former head honcho Jiang Zemin and Zhu Rongzhi belong). After Jiang Zemin (and friends) were shoved from the main stage, one of the most powerful political figures to emerge in mainland China politics was Secretary of the Communist Party of Shanghai, Chen Liangyu, a member of the 20-man politburo as well as head of the biggest branch of the ruling party and until recently, mayor of Shanghai city.
However, due to proven corruption, the Communist Party of China came down hard and sent some 300 auditors / investigators down to Shanghai and recently arrested close to 400 city officials, businessmen, bankers and all are awaiting trial, including Chen Liangyu himself.
Hello Bolehland, inilah cakap serupa bikin....
Another big fish in the southern city of Guangzhou (in the province of Guangdong) is being flushed out and is believed to be arrested soon....

Case in point, Indon's Tommy and this Taiwan's SIL. Too eager to go up, but eventually fell.
SIL in Bolehland take note.
Whatever goes up must come down. That's the law.

Zakaria is but a small fart....and they can't even touch him. You think they dare to take on the big stinkos.
The situation in bolehland now is bad...so very bad it may be irreversable unless the people as a whole, in one voice, boot out the current scumbags who are choking the nation.
The Taiwanese president, Mr.Chen himself, and his wife are not spared. Just wait and see. Taiwan is also a corrupted country still...but at least we see some real action now...doing it by the LAW...even some may argue it's political agenda.
How many big stinkos in bolehland have been charged in court, let alone convicted and went to jail ????
Oh....nobody reported and not enough proof....therefore cannot investigate.,,,therefore cannot charge. Yep...semua ok.
Gomen servant or ex office boy can build mini palace.
Ahh forgot....have own party rules that are above the country's laws. :p

mainland China should have swallowed up Taiwan a long time ago. taiwan survival depends on the support of the USA..taiwan leaders deserve to go the gallows for rampant corruption.

Maybe the UMNO is learning from Taiwan when not too long ago, one of the goons said Corruptions in UMNO is untouchable. Then I guess we have a valid reason to be very worried of such ideology in UMNO.

I think the China govt had been very patient with Taiwan's antiques considering that Chinese traditionally cannot lose face.
Perhaps thats why the Taiwanese and Chinese had to stand firm in order to safe face.
