:) A very interesting tale about a boy name - aragon. If u like dragons then this one is an entertaining movie to watch for the whole family. :D Its a bit like dragon heart whereby the voice for this movie the dragon's voice was done by Rachel Weiz from the 'run away jury'. Storyline is predictable but still a fantasy movie come to live!

borrowing a sentence from one of the characters in the movie, Brom, "I expected more."
I was hoping for a 3 hour epic movie but end up only about 1.5 hour nia...

It could be better... but still entertaining lar. I like the last dragon vs dragon battle, damm siok!! :D

btw, anyone who has watch this will find the storyline are kinda like a ripoff from Starwars episode IV.

Spoiler Alert!!!

Emperor killed all (dragon rider/Jedi)
Princess steal Something (Egg/blueprint) from empire
Empire give chase, captured princess
Something (egg/blueprint) fell into hands of a young farm boy (Eragon/Luke)
Farm boy found mentor (Brom/Obi Wan)
Mentor is the last of it's type (Dragon Rider/Jedi)
Farm boy's uncle got killed by empire, (both end up become charcoal :D)
Mentor teaches farm boy to become new hope (dragon rider/Jedi)
Mentor teaches farm boy to use magic/force
Farm boy rescued princess
Mentor got killed in process
Farm boy and princess flee to rebel's stronghold
Empire approaching rebel's stronghold
Farm boy beat empire by becoming a dragon rider/Jedi.

Let's hope there aren't a "I am your father" scene in the next sequel :D

imho, the story is very cliche, tired and overused. extremely linear and overly predictable. absolutely no twists, no tear-jerking, heart-wrenching, cliff-hanging, adrenalin-pumping moments. reads like a children's fairy tale from the 1980s. the CGI effects weren't that impressive either. really, all in all very disappointing.

my 2 cents anyway. :)

I have not seen the movie but something tells me that it's nothing to shout about and you have just confirmed my hunch. I had seen the trailer a month ago on the Net, and I was not suitably impressed. Guess I'll just give it a miss.

Arrrrrrrrrrrh ... a lady / female dragon :D

I only like the voice of Sean Conery' voice as the voice of Dragon in Dragon Heart. ;)

Just watched the movie. Very interesting. Have never watched a dragon movie before. Never really liked it. But this is different. Won't even mind watching it second time. Someone else have to belanja'lah. Hahaha ..

Anyway, this movie plot is more or less like LOTR! A boy picks up the blue stone which happens to be the egg, and suddenly he is the chosen one. Destine to be the rider of the dragon. Have to save the world!

Princess Arya, not much of movement she gets in the movie except of lying down bottom half , partial expose and sending telepath signal to Eragon. "Keng" ah .... and that Princess Arya not bad looking.

It's a shamelessly geeky derivative of "Lord of the Rings" and "Star Wars", but lack the saga and depth. A silly story about a teenager riding a dragon....and, and...nothing else but awful grammer.

the unattractive poster & unimpressive trailer, plus many negative comments from friends (& some forumers), tell me to stay from it & i shall! :D

Stay away... stay far far away.... :p

Went to watch the movie at Cineleisure... now thats one impressive movie theaterette... THX and DL sound and comfy seats... but was "spoilt" by lousy and cheesy scripts/dialogues of the movie...

I think the highlight of the day was getting to see "Shrek & Donkey" do the sound effects for the THX trailer.... funny gila... :D

end-note: thankfully it was free tickets... otherwise I would be kicking myself for wasting good money...

Wow, before watching a movie, I have always do some research to ensure its worth my time, my money and my attention.

Come on, this story was written by a 15 yrs old boy. Have you guys read the book yet? Its better in the book (again, sigh, movie adaption always sucks). So, u can't expect a LOTR style of writing. BTW, his adaption of langauge e.g. fire = bsanger (sp) is actually a research of old language, and it did exist in old language.

This is more of a teenage flick instead of the LOTR wannabe. Don't have high expectation and u won't be disappointed is all I can say.

For kids. Watch through a kid's eye, and it will be quite entertaining. Good effort for a young author.

They need new scriptwriter.

Best part: When Durza said "I expected something more ...... well, more".

Best scene: When they zoomed out right after burying Brom, with the dragon raising his wings to pose like a swan. (note: No words in that scene to spoil it).

Watched the movie as well, it was good for me as well. Am always fascinated by all those dragons, fire and knights stuff. Anyway, i hope they will do a better 2nd and 3rd part of this. Hopefully a bigger fight scene like in LOTR.
