sorry to diasppoint you, but I think black lung does not turn into red after one stop smoking ..... at best turn into dark maroon colour :D
no, what is more important than the colour of the lung is .... once you stop smoking
i) you will expect to live longer than when you continue smoking
ii) your food will taste better ...... that is why people tend to gain wt after
stop smoking
iii) your effort tolerance will improve
and hundreds more good reasons to quit smoking :)

ALaS....

is there a time machine where I could turn back the time to when I have not started smoking :( ?I guess a lot of smokers feel that way. But, it is never never too late to stop. Its very much a test of your willpower, and you should do it for your family as much as for yourself, especially since the only known cure for smoking is Cancer (Remember the famous public service advertisement?). Kick the butt OR kick the bucket! Get your family and friends involved too, to help you quit this habit. Good luck :)
