The author - Janet Ng from Bandar Puchong KL. This book was the result of the ancouragement and support by her caring and loving friends.

The book is about the true life story of the author herself, how she face and concured the delimma of raissing her multihandicapped son - Colin Ng 20 years ago.

Janet was advised by her then doctor to basically give up on Colin and he told her that Colin will not servive more then 30 days.

Today, at the age of 22, he still stand strong, graduated in music....

My tears keep falling non stop as I read this book, may be because I am a mother myself but I am sure it will touch every one's heart, not just mine....

People always say: behind every succesfull man, there is a women...

In this story, I realize then : behind every succesfull women, there is a man...

Read this book and you will understand what I mean, available at MPH and Popular.

Happy reading ;)

A harvest of love.. in a good garden, it will grow. What leads someone to be truly great and successful...From the short synopsis to the story, I can see how a self sacrificing woman gave all her love to her child..unconditionally, unselfish and devoted..never discouraging and never giving up hope.

Being a mother like Janet, she has achieved the greatest success of them all and that was having kept her son alive thru those difficult days and nights for years with all her might and soul.

Truly a real-life story I wouldn't want to miss reading. Thanks for the recommendation Lu Lau.

Yes indeed! She is the angel and the mentor of my life!

And Colin, he is just super! Can you believe that he has the ability to recognize what brand is your car and what model by just test open your car door??!! and he can tell if there is anything wrong with your car's engine by just listen to how the engine starts sound??!!

Is true, I vitness this infront of my own eyes, the car was not a common model, is Isuzu jeep, model...citaran or something like that but he got it right!! The owner was so shock!!! Speacheless!!! ;)

Wow. So Lu Lau, you know this family personally huh. Colin sure sounds like a unique young man, having this special talent and having graduated in music at such young age. Can i know in which instrument he is majoring in?

I will get the book soon enough, and i'm sure i'll be more inspired...:)

Last yest, we invited them to our chinese new year party. We had lion dance performance. That was the first time he expose and got to hear the lion dance performance. He recorded ( comman for blind people ) the whole session and right after the lion dance group gone, went to my son's keyboard and play " axactly" and I do mean 100% "axactly" sound like hoe the lion dance group was playing with the " how!" and "haa" sound....my guest were standing around him and watch him play, he just play without even trying it few time, no training, no reharsal!!! I drop my jaw that day wathing him do that!! Amazing young man!!!

Thanks a million for sending me the book Lu Lau.

I have never in my life read a book that makes me cry instantaneously..

There is so much love, struggles and hardship in it I'm just at a loss for words now. This story speaks a volume, not only to encourage and help parents with less abled children, but for everyone who wants to know the true meaning of love, faith and hope. It is also spiritual, as Janet shares how she overcomes her fears and feelings of hopelessness crying out to God and I can see it so clearly, how God blessed her abundantly as she puts Colin's life into His Hands..

There is a passage I would like to share with all of you, the day that Colin had to undergo yet another surgery to correct his spinabifida problem, as it was another painful surgery for him, and he could not understand why. This is what Janet told him..

"See the tail on the teddy bear? It is not too long and it is making poor teddy uncomfortable. The doctors need to make it shorter so that the teddy can move around better," I (Janet) explained, as I tried my best to prepare him for the surgery.

Even though I might not have made sense, Colin faced the surgery bravely. There were only quiet tears of pain after the surgery..."I promise I will stay in the hospital..I will be by your bedside and hold your hand.."

It is overwhelming me as I continue reading this book. Personally, I am even more thankful now for all that I am and have. And to sometimes think that life is tough, playing that piece on the piano is tough, doing this is tough, doing that is tough..when all I am facing is peanuts comparing to what Janet and Colin has faced in their lives.

Real pain will only emerge when we start giving up..

Yes Mon, I reread it again yesterday night, and my years still keep falling, as a mother myself, what you say is really true, what we and most of the mother face now is actually peanut compare to what Janet has gone truoght. I am not sure I will be able or even strong enaught to face and carry on my life with such tremendous challenge. But as Janet says, when you face the most challenge of you life, then you will know you actually capable more then what you think you can.

Of cause, behind her "undicribeable" sacrifies, there is a man, who never sstop supporting her, encourage her behind the shadow - her husband. The world best life parthner and husband! I salute him.

Colin is such an intelligent young man, he impressed our guest in our Chinese New Years open house last year with his remarkable performance when he replay the lion dance music " exactly" as it was after he listen to the performance of the lion dance group whivh I hired for the event. Althought that was the first time he ever listen to it but hemanage to replay it with 100% accurate tune....my guest were serounding him while he sit and replay that musiz using my son's keyboard, they were shock and amaze by his performance.....I have no word at that moment....but just watched....

Colin has been a huge fan of cars since young age and he can recognize car brand, name and model just by listening to the sound of starting the car or opening the car door....

I remember he shock another guest(friend of mine from Poland) who drove all the way to Malacca with his unusual car Isuzu sothing name....cita..something model.....citara I think...

We actually brought him closer to this car and let him "try" it, he start with touching the car's body and then the door and the open it just to listen to the sound of opening it....then he say" Pappa(his father Chee Pheng was next to him ), this is Isuzu (hope I remember it right)car....." every body was stunt...."What is the model?" Chee Pheng ask. After a few second he answer " is Citaran...", another shock for the vitneser around, then he requested my friend to start the car so that he could hear the sound and my friend did it....And Colin said" err..there are something wrong with this car enjin.....", my friend quite for few seconds and then answer "Yes, I have been having problem with the enjin for a while now and was not able to fit it propertly by my mechanic....!!" and every body were laughting...

Those were such unusual and unforgetable experience for us as well as others.....
