Trust the men in blue, says Johor CPO

By FARIK ZOLKEPLI

JOHOR BARU: Trust our men in blue. This is the call of the Johor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Hussin Ismail to those going away during the festive break. He said the public should shed the negative perception that the police were working hand-in-glove with criminals and would leak out information.

DCP Hussin added that the police would have a tough time combating crime if the public did not trust them to keep their homes safe when they were not around.

“I can assure the public that severe action will be taken against any policeman found to be leaking information. In a similar campaign in Shah Alam in 2002, none of the 634 homesmonitored by the police was broken into."

DCP Hussin reiterated that the police would check on homes of owners who had notified them.
