Get a sneak peek into the next generation of the firefox browser. Firefox 2 Release Candidate 2 (RC 2) is a preview release available for download.

I personally use IE only to test pages I design(read browser compatibility) or to run some piece of bad code (read menu systems which don't let me navigate a website using FF). I am a big FF fan and I'm currently involved in developing a plug-in for the same which should be out soon :)

I like firefox...but would prefer netscape which is build on firefox and it has the mode to switch to IE when ever you want to do testing or browse a site which is more compatible with IE such as hotmail....and I think it has better features compared to firefox?!

I used Netscape a very long time back along with IE. I found Netscape too bulky on load time. I am totally unaware about what features Netscape has built recently to really do a comparison with FF.

FireFox RC2 however has a feature where if you had to end task your browser due to a forced system shutdown or browser hang, on startup it asks you whether you want to restore the last state. On saying yes, it throws open all browser windows which you were surfing on before the application/system hung up. Now, that's a really neat feature that would save me a lot of time and frustration.

Also, it's got inline spellcheck enabled. What that means is, when you type inside any input field(on any website), it magically produces a red underline under possibly misspelt words. In short, I don't need to open MSWord to check for typos ;)

I breathe FireFox and use IE only for websites that are important to me but don't work on anything else. BTW, I was a Netscape supporter until IE over-ruled the browser war. Hence you can see why I welcomed FF when it came to beat IE to a pulp. You have a new FF coming but so has Microsoft with their new IE ... will be going for the IE preview in November.

I'm too ex-supporter of Netscape, before IE monopolised the browser war. Then switched to Opera and now I'm a happy FF user ever since it was launched. ;)

IE7 ar?? just a hype la... I even saw it crashed and burned, lived on national TV :D It was during a morning talkshow in NTV7 I think, this guy from M$ was trying to showoff the "new" features of IE7, tab browsing and tab summary/preview. Guess what? When he try to open the preview/summary tab, IE didn't response at all. So he commented it might take a while for it to load. Seconds later, still no response, so he try to click on the other tab, no response also, then he commented again, "just a moment it will show up". Then there was a few seconds of awkward silence, lucky the host of the show is smart enough to help him out, "let's take a short break and we'll be back in a short while" then commercial. I was having my cuppa of morning breakfast that time, and I was almost choke to death trying not to laugh with my mouth full :D.
Few minutes later after the commercial, back to the M$ guy again. "Let us continue, let me show you the new features of IE7" Then he click on the preview/summary tab again... again there's no response... just the hourglass icon on d screen. Again, "It will take a little while to load the page" again a few seconds of awkward silence... then the guy tried to click on the other tabs... and guess what??
The famous M$ Error after the BSoD and Illegal Operation:
"Windows Not Responding, Continue? Cancel?" :D
He clicked "Conitnue", and... IE7 crashed :p

and immediatly M$ guy switched topics to M$ Windows Vista :D
