Hi, i noticed that there are some houses at usj 6 have security service stickers on their gates. I intend to get this kind of services and would like to get more info abt the services. If am not mistaken, there is no Neighbourhood Watch for USJ 6, am i rite?

You'll get a faster response to your query by approaching those house occupants

I guess you must be talking about the services provided by private security companies? These companies provide central monitoring services. You can try to search for their number in the internet.
Here's one that I've found... ADT (http://www.adtmalaysia.com).

Those security guys come around in the evenings/night on motorbike ( 2 indian guys ) on their patrol rounds. Suppose to be hourly but i hv not noticed them lately. I used to see them when this service started. I guess if you do manage to catch them patrolling, at least u know they are doing their job. BTW, I live in USJ6 but i don't subscribe to their services.

My dad used to subscribe to this security service. First few months was ok. They came, show face a bit, shined their torchlight around, wave hello. Then they stopped giving out receipts, despite asking a few times. Giving lots of excuses, forgot lar, receipt book missing lar, forgot to bring the receipts book lar..this lar that lar. That's when my dad and a few neighbours decided to stop.
Now, shadow pun tak nampak.

The above set up a booth when we had a Dialogue with the OCPD two months ago. They are specialised in remote monitoring - you connect your alarm to dial up to them. One of the greatest advantage of their service is they are smacked in our community which means they can be at your house in case of emergency within minutes as their motorcycles/patrol cars do not face traffic jam problem. The other advantage is they know the community well. No need to search their way there. I understand that they are again keen to set up a booth at our forthcoming dialogue with the Deputy Minister of Internal Security on 10 October.

Do they cover only USJ 11 or other USJ areas as well ?

They cover the whole of USJ, SJ and Putra Heights. Why don't you pick up the phone and call them.

You can also configure your webcam to work with your PC to setup a motion detection camera. That's a DIY/Tech solution to house security ;)
