If u happened to come across a contractor by the name of Alvin (the company name is Intrend Builders) - Don't engage him! He is a lousy contractor...I regretted using him. He used to take jobs in Shah Alam, Subang Jaya and PJ. I called him to come to take a look at some of the undone business here for months and still no sign of him!

I did hold back abt RM2k but I think this 2k is insufficient to complete the undone business.

Hi tohca,

I just renovated my house in USJ5 earlier this year before I moved in. I got a very good and reliable Interior Designer... very happy with his work. He managed to get my house done in a month, in time for me to move in before the chinese 7th month.

I got a few quotes for my house before deciding. This guy... he's not the cheapest, nor is he the most expensive. Let me know if you're interested. I can PM you his number.

Thanks for the recommendation and caution about 'flaky' contractors. Will let you know how it all goes. Cheers.

Hi honeybee,

Does your contractor do small jobs? I went of on holiday and came back to find I have a leaking pipe in the ceiling slab on the ground floor and i need to get it fixed quickly. Can you sms me his contact number? My mobile is 016-339 1312. Thanks in advance!

Tohca,
Try Ah Heng, WS Build - 012-2687699.
He renovated my house two years ago, after I bought it 2nd hand from an investor. Am very pleased with his professionalism (if anything wrong that he's accountable, he will do it for you), and I called for a tender for the renovation, and he came out the cheapest amongst all of them. The quality of work is good and he has a network of contractors for doors, electricity, ponds, plaster ceiling etc...and very responsive too.
