Subang Jaya Run on Nov 5
THIS year’s Subang Jaya 10km Run is expected to attract participants from all walks of life.
And the organiser – Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) – has picked Nov 5 as the day for the Subang Jaya 10km Run. The run is in and around Subang Jaya and USJ major roads. Organising chairman Dato Lee Hwa Beng said the run will be held on Nov 5 expected to draw some 6,000 participants.
Just like in the past years, the Run has the following categories –
1) 10km men's
2) women's open (18 years and above),
3) 7km men's junior veteran (40 years to below 50 years)
4) men's senior veteran (50 years and above),
5) women's veteran (35 years and above),
6) boys and girls (13 years to below 18 years),
7) men's and women's special (wheelchair participants only),
8) 5km men's and women's special (non-wheelchair participants only) and
9) a 3km Fun Run (adults and children).
Lee, who is also the Subang Jaya state assemblyman, said attractive prizes would be offered as prizes for the lucky draw.
Attractive prizes will be given to winners in the fancy dress competition, while the oldest participant will receive a special award.
The school with the highest number of participants completing the race will be rewarded with prizes as well.
The Subang Jaya 10km Run is organised by MPSJ, The Star and the Selangor Amateur Athletics Association. Entry forms are available at MPSJ and also from the respective Jawatan Kuasa Penduduk. The closing date is Oct 21. Watch out for The Star which will be publishing the entry form. Also banners will be hung up in the community to remind you of this RUN. The JKP who submitted the most entry will stand a chance to win RM 3,000. More details later.
