nasty nasty comment from Nazri

“You are just jealous because I am standing,” retorted Nazri in reference to Karpal’s confinement to a wheelchair following an accident last year.

He also described the veteran DAP leader and prominent lawyer as being “mad”.

This prompted Fong Po Kuan (DAP-Batu Gajah) to demand an apology from the minister. She said Nazri had not only hurt Karpal but all disabled peopled as well.

Absolutely shameful!

my comments to the newspapers

Dear Editor

RE: Abdullah: Reform happening "my way"

It was insteresting to hear the comments from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, expressing how strongly he is committed to reforming Malaysian society.

I only hope that he could take a closer look at the actions and comments of his MPs and Cabinet Ministers.

The most recent round of comments, against DAP Chairman Karpal Singh, (who is currently using a wheelchair), are simply embarassing and disgusting.

Members of parliament are supposed to be positive role models for society. I cannot imagine why a lawmaker would make such a childish comment as "you are just jealous because I am standing" to someone in a wheelchair.

Is there no way to check the behaviour of MPs?

If the Prime Minister is not willing or able to check and correct the actions of his own MPs and Cabinet Ministers, then what hope is there for the reforms that are so dear to him?

The best solution for these comments, and to send a message to Malaysia society, is to kick these misbehaving MPs out of the Barisan Nasional. Allow them to sit as independent MPs for a little while as a punishment. It will not harm the position of the Barisan Nasional, but it will send a positive message to Malaysian society that this behaviour will not be tolerated.

Even with watching partial clips on the news with MPs like Bung Mokhtar(Kinabatangan) n our famous "Close 1-Eye", you'll be very disgusted. It shows that you do not have to be well-mannered and urbane to be representing the people. You can always act like howling barbarians back in the stone age.

Joe - I have posted many a times with regards to the subject of live telecast in parliament... this can and will only happen AFTER Finas is gazetted to censor all the XXXXX-XXX rated behaviour and antics that these YBs (honorable  MPs). Why censored.... because only in the Parliament, these buffoons can say as they please and not get charged for slurs, racial incitement, libel, swears etc etc.... parliamentary immunity konon...

To be frank... if there is ever another racial disturbance, it would most likely be started by a (mad) politician...

Now you know why VIP in my dictionary stands for VERY IRRITATING POLITICIAN.

Nazri is getting worse by the day. I started to realize he was becoming a Bad Boy when he started criticizing Dr M rudely. Like he has some kind of power that nobody else has.

I have this strangest feeling that he won't last long... ;)

Nice one, Munity.... :p

This is the same fella that was quoted saying that "why would he want to "take money from (KLIALimo)taxi drivers when his own money "tak habis!" .... " in the newspapers when he was a minister in another portfolio...

See... there's money... lots of it, in politics... :D
