Hi.. I was wondering if anyone knew of a decent hall that can cater to a max of 500 people? I'm considering my options as I am planning for a wedding in early 2008. Hotels are very expensive and they wont customize so much as to what I would like. Anyway, would appreciate some input. Thanks.

Your question is too vague, to get help in the right direction, u need to list down ur requirements:

- location? Subang area? Cheras? Rawang? Belakong? Melaka? Penang? Karak? Taiping? Binutulu? Alor Star? exactly where???
- what type of wedding, Chinese traditional? Christian? Indian? Muslim? Western? etc?
- type fo food: buffet? lunch? sit down dinner?
- any special requests.. Horse carriage ride across KL city center? LOL :D :D Traditional bands? Acrobatics performances?

u see.. a Chinese traditional weddings can be held in those Chinese association halls in Alor Star for a nominal sum, karaoke & live band entertainment for a few hundred RM, the caterer's dinner per table can be had for RM170 nett(with sharksfin soup sommore!;) ), drinks & beer u can order from the wholesaler delivered direct, very the cheap 1, if u got 100tables, it will be spread over 2 floors and they even got CCTV for u see what's happening upstairs/downstairs.... :D :D

An Indian traditional wedding held in a community hall in Sg. Pinang, Penang, can be had for much less than that, maybe only RM70 per table? dunno.....

And in Holiday Villa Subang Jaya, it is RM700+++ per table minimum 20 tables (or more) to get a decent hall.

So which is it... ???
