Dear Sirs / Madams

On behalf of all residents on USJ 3/2, I'd like to request the USJRA to ask Tenaga Nasional / MPSJ to add additional street lamps along our row of houses. USJ3/2 is a road parallel to the KESAS Highway and our houses face a small stretch of empty land before the KESAS Highway sound barrier. The road is frequently used by USJ 3/2, USJ 3/1A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H residents as the empty stretch is good to jog, have a walk, and also to cross over to SS19 for a short shopping trip etc.

As a crime prevention measure, these streetlamps will brighten the neighbourhood when night comes -and prevent any unsavoury characters from loitering around in the dark, helping the residents to see the surrounding area much more clearly.

Thanks and Best Regards

USJ 3/2 Resident

I may be wrong but I believe MPSJ is more open to suggestions from the JKP (Jawatankuasa Penduduk) so find out who are the JKP members in your area.

This is the contact Chang is referring to.

JKP Zon 2 : USJ 2 - USJ 8
Chairman : Mr Gilbert Yeoh
Email : chyeoh@tm.net.my
SMS Contact : 012-2031323

Whether it is JKP or USJRA, the requester is expected to come up with a working paper on their request. Although I sit in both JKP and RT, you must understand that both positions are honorary positions and it helps a lot if the local residents do some homework. Produce a map of the area you are referring to and some photographs will help a lot for people who have no idea about the current situation. Take snapshots of the day scene and the night scene to show why the additional lighting will go a long way to prevent untowards or unpleasant events. Then pass this to the JKP to endorse it and forward your request to the relevant dept in MPSJ to follow through.

Thanks Mr Yeoh

I will take the photos of this road in the afternoon and night as per your suggestion, will also produce a map to show which area we are in. In the meantime, is there a sample working paper for a request similar to this so that I can use the same headings etc -

Thanks in advance
