Just wondering....

for Malaysians...what does the jelur gemilang represent to you? What does it mean to you to display it and/or fly the Malaysian Flag?

ps. in Canada we have Canada Day (our National Day July 1) but we also have a Flag Day (February 15) to celebrate the Maple Leaf (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_Flag) (Unifoile in French)

I used to every year. Big one outside the house.

Until some clown in the papers said we HAD to do it, to SHOW our patriotism.

Well, now I don't want to because it defeats the very essence of being patriotic.

Anyway, what is patriotism? Turning ur house, car, and/or self into a carnival of Jalurs of all shapes and sizes?

Or asking "sensitive" questions to ensure the future of this country & to strive for equality for ALL her citizens?

Amazes me how for one day of the year, we are all supposed to be true blue, red, white, blue and yellow Malaysians. And for the rest of the year..Bangsa: Melayu, Cina, India atau Lainlain and Bumiputera or Bukan Bumiputera.

Maybe I'll consider to put up a teeny tiny flag when all of the gorillas, chimpanzees, gibbons, and circus clowns in the parliment are replaced by humans that can think and speak rasionaly.

Oh yeah, I'll put up a big flag once all the corruptions has stopped! ;)
