Hi to Chang & all,
Anyone knows of any reason why during startup OS ; and after the listing all the devices there is mentioning of 1 line saying some thing about channel 80 ?
Using OS : Win ME.

Sorry, I have no idea. But if I am not mistaken, port 80 is the channel for internet access. I am wondering what message are you seeing?

Port is a completely different thing from channels. Anyway this happens in boot-time/startup. Can you post a screenshot here?

Well, it happens during startup while in Bios. As for screenshot ; after the line appears the Bios went into startup process (split second) & unable to capture it.

i think you should be able to hit the pause button on your keyboard to pause it.... not sure if the new pc's can do that..

Actually , the line that appears is ' Primary IDE no channel 80 conductor cable installed '.

It should be Scsi controller.
