I ask this in all seriousness after reading a report by Carolyn Hong (the paper's Msia correspondent) in today's Straits Times (http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg)

I will not quote from the report, which was on certain recent developments in Msia, or even give its byline, in case I fall foul of this forum's OB markers.

Suffice it to say that any foreign fund manager or investor looking to put money in Malaysia may be asking themselves some hard questions after reading this report. :(

ex-chief is like an old parent, they nag. And most time, they believe it is for the good of the children. May be they are right.

TDM is just another ex-chief. Only this time around the nagging is louder and the issues he nags about involve a lot of millions. Many aspirant future leaders' rice bowls are now in jeapordy!

In all fairness, let the old man speak, what's wrong with that? If the AAB administration is sincere about doing the right thing, why get agitated or even angry with Tun. Be calm, be sincere and address the issue like a good government does. No need to vent anger in the parliament sitting, you are wasting people's money. No need for the son-in-law to want to call a humongous rally to "explain"the government's stand, the public know. And one last thing, no need to resort to spraying pepper on the old man's face!

The dato who did that probably thought he did someone big a favour and is now waiting with his tongue out for his bone! May be a ministerial position?

Yah, that's the Spore Straits Times for you, but have to abide by their rules, lah!

But I reiterate my point that the report in question may make foreign fund managers and investors looking at Malaysia ask a lot of hard questions.

And I am sure that the extremely efficient Msian High Commissioner in Spore will have already taken note of the said report and given the necessary feedback to Wisma Putra. Let's see what happens.
