Hello, you are barking up at the wrong plane. As far as Air Asia is concern, they have taken off and typo error is the responsibility their advertising agency and the newspaper. If these two people saw the error and yet went ahead to print them, is Air Asia to be blamed eventhough the mistake is theirs genuinely? Also is the error a fatal one? If you want, I believe many forumers can show you many other advertisements with typo errors that will make you roll on the floor laughing your hearts out and make their clients nearly had a heart attack.

PS: I need to ensure that there are no spelling error in my post or else kena from chin_wan.

I am not blaming Air Asia but whatever it is...it will look bad on the company as a whole.

My! Did this crack me up. You are right. I believe in such cases, the copy-editors of the publishing companies take the blame.

Tupai, you said that the fnail rseonpisibilty of the aaias to arpopve the fnail atrorwk b4 sndenig for fmilnig (oh my God, your spelling is worse than theirs and is so atrocious) then I was right in blaming the two parties - agency and newspaper. I still believe that the newspaper doesn't just print blindly. I want you to fund this test advertisement and see their reaction when I put this test advertisement to print. It will contain these characters ******. Their advertising department will definitely call me to clarify what ****** stand for. Oh, I also forgot. That includes your truly Mr. Chang.

Haha ... tupai is quite right with it. Air Asia is to be blame cos newspaper ads or any ads are just following orders to print as what they wanted. Do not know their true intentions of doing it but better don't simply correct their ads ... might get hefty for it.

Btw, AA is a budget plane so everything they do also is under budget!

Ahhh...then AA will get a free ad today. even if the color is slightly off or the 'dot' is missing frm the 'i', etc etc. Std advertising practice. Its always the agency n the media to blame.

Normally, agency will chk with AA to confirm the intentional or unintentional typo/graphic error. if AA greenlight it, then its no fault of agency/media.

Ahh .. for this, I guess is all behind the scene. Would not know whos' mistake is that be it media or AA. We see surface, so be it surface most ppl would just think of AA to be laugh at cos the ads is under them. Is that really their mistake to give such greenlight? Do we know bout it? Is there anyone out to testify bout it?

As long as, us consumer knows the true intention of AA ads is good enough unless it is a misleading ads.

DIGI didn't know how to spell LOST and they spelt it as LUAS HAHA

Maybe AirAsia purposely do it so that people would comment it :)

If I was to make spelling and grammatical corrections on every post to the forum, I will never go to sleep.

One little typo in an advert and you people have so much to say. If I was to correct someone's error, I will get an earfull ... from the very person who made the error.

uhhh ... Tupai - the theory that mashing up the spelling but keeping the first and last letter in place don't seem to work. I do find it hard to read the words although the theory said that our minds will allow us to read. I think it is easier to read your Kelantan dialect.

People who are soooo meticulous / perfectionist either way .. are to make mistakes too but then again are we able to notice it?

Spelling mistakes or grammar or what the heck M'sian english we're using also as long as we're able to send the msg across and ppl understands what we're saying then be it. Obviously don't make it too often those mistakes.

Guys, good day! Just wanna share my personal experience .. yes, its AirAsia!
I was on biz trip to Jakarta last month and i bumped into an old couple with heavy bag .. thinking that i should help, I approached them and chat while waiting to board. Finally, its time to board and off we go ..home sweet home. After an hour of flying, i noticed the old man stood up and thinking that he is going to the gents .. i kept an eye on him (in case lah .. he is in his 80s). Suddenly i noticed he is reclining backward and like spiderman i jumped out of my sit and grab him to break his fall! That moment, to be honest .. a coward like me panic and got the air stewardess for assistance. Did u know that our seat is detachable?? I do now .. it was used as a pillow and we summoned for a wheelchair upon arrival. Once we landed, we waited for a good 20 minutes for a wheelchair and it never come! finally, we took a long walk to the building (LCCT) and immediately i ask for the ground staff for a wheelchair ... guess what .. the gentleman answer " sorry, i dun think there is a wheelchair in this building" .... yeeee harrrr .... thats just great .. i'm stuck with this couple and the old man is not in good shape. Imagine AIRASIA dun provide wheelchair!!
Cut the detail, the old man is fine, took him and admit him to SJMC and the couple from kluang is a retired teacher ... NICE COUPLE and they vowed never to travel without their children.

Moral of the story ... be fit to take AirAsia and like it or not we need AirAsia ....... still can't believe they don't provide wheelchair! Shame on you AirAsia

These ground services come from the airport - not the airlines. In this case, it would be the operator of LCCT, Malaysian Airports Berhad.

I don't think we can blame Air Asia for this.

Actually, I am still wondering what the point of this thread is? There was an error in their advertisement. And ............

But it's good since I learnt a little more about the advertising workflow.

Yes Gina, I learnt some things too ....
like the fact that people seldom read into the thread to find out what the discussion is about. Anyway, it is time to close it since it is just trivia.
