Clouds

Flying westward over the central range on Peninsula Malaysia, on 18th July 2007 at about 6:30 pm. Saw this big tower of clouds directly from the plane window:

Then the scenery started to get more beautiful:

I took this with a simple idiot-box type of camera. I am as amateur as it comes. Any tips on making these shots more beautiful is welcomed. Note: I won't understand technical terms.
